On the 30th of December, we reached out to families in Lagos State as a way of sharing love and wishing them a happy and hopeful New Year
This outreach was a reminder that kindness still lives, and together, we can start the year by putting smiles on faces and food on tables.

MEET OUR SPEAKER FOR THE CYVI INDUCTION 1.0
We are honored to introduce Mr. Mbina Ita Adomi, a distinguished social worker, academic, and community development professional who will be speaking at the Catalyst Youth Volunteer Initiative Induction on Sunday, 30th November.
Mr. Mbina is a professional social worker and an esteemed member of the Chartered Institute of Social Work Practitioners of Nigeria as well as the National Association of Social Workers of Nigeria. He currently lectures at the Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu, in the Department of Social Work, where he trains and mentors the next generation of social development professionals.
Beyond academia, he serves as a consultant with the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Enugu Branch, contributing to rehabilitation, mental health support, and community-based interventions.
He holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Social Work, with specializations in Community Development, Mental Health Rehabilitation, Family and Social Welfare.
Mr. Mbina has been trained by reputable institutions including UNICEF, CDC, WHO, and C-ISOWN, earning certifications in quantitative and qualitative analysis, vulnerable children support, poverty and sustainability frameworks, policy interventions, and other development-focused areas.
He has also facilitated and trained across numerous evaluation projects and capacity-building programs. His work includes published journal articles and training manuals that continue to shape the field of social work.
At the induction, he will be speaking on the topic:
"The Power of Youth and Volunteerism in Africa’s Future.”
We look forward to learning from his depth of knowledge, professional experience, and passion for community transformation.

We are pleased to introduce someone whose work, passion and commitment to young people truly aligns with the vision of CYVI.
HOSANNA KARA – Social Impact Leader, Youth Advocate and Community Development Builder.
Hosanna is a dedicated social impact leader with an outstanding record in youth development, community engagement and children-focused initiatives. She is the founder of Hossy Kiddies Place, a brand that creates safe, fun and educational spaces for children through innovative events and community programs.
Her impact journey includes supporting youth empowerment programs with Junior Achievement Nigeria, serving as Volunteer Coordinator for the SET4LYF Program, and contributing to customer relations, volunteer coordination and training support at the Enterprise Development Centre of Pan-Atlantic University.
Hosanna is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt with a B.A. in English Studies. She brings depth, warmth and practical insight to every audience she engages.
On the 30th of November she will be speaking to us on
“The Power of Youth and Volunteerism in Africa’s Future.”
This is a session that promises to challenge, inspire and strengthen your commitment to leadership and service.

The Catalyst Youth Volunteer Initiative (CYVI) is a national youth-focused program powered by the Roseline Ada Foundation, committed to building a network of young changemakers across Nigeria.
We are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and the African Union Agenda 2063, working to promote volunteerism, innovation, leadership, and sustainable impact.
