At every stage of life, one is expected to grow. When I was younger, I felt growing up is in the respect accorded to you by younger ones, just fitting into the simplicity of life and enjoying everything as provided by my parents. But then I faced the hard rock of life..... Then I realised,

1. Money is a factor that could reduce your respect to the barest minimum

2. Working hard is shown in the evidence 💰💰💰

3. People who live good honest lives would have to be soo patient for many years to ever break free from the bo***ge of corrupt people

4. Corruption is not only in Government officials.... As a matter of fact, every corrupt Government official started rehearsing as mere citizens

5. Growth is not in how well you speak, but how much you speak 😏😏

6. If you lack money, evidently respect would be lacking

Finally, I realised that Nigerians have a different kind of strength...... If you are not a Nigerian you cannot understand, but only us know how much we can hold..

I was invited to a program to play the piano.... You know as pianists we are usually eyed by the opposite gender, and only God should help you to concentrate through out the time you would be playing.

So whilst the service was going on, I observed some girls who wouldn't take their eyes off me, but one was even more beautiful than the rest of them. To add to, I loved the way she stared at me. Many times when our eyes met she would throw her eyes the other way and smile. Chaii!! That gesture alone triggered more fire in my fingers; I would run my hand swiftly through the keys while producing melodic minor sounds. Each time I did that, she would stare at me and just smile..... That SMILE......

Immediately the service came to an end, I quickly rushed towards her with a big grin. She saw me approaching and didn't make any attempt to leave, so.i knew she was already in, deep.

ME: Yo beautiful girl, wassup?

{She cackled sweetly}

HER: Are you sure am beautiful or you just want to woo me

{The smile wouldn't leave her face}

ME: Ofcourse you are beautiful..... I would have loved to stay more around you to bask in your beauty, but I don't really have much time..... Would you mind if I get your number so we could talk later?

{She smiled again and nodded. I gave her the phone. As she invited her number, I looked myself over, me that cannot even toast a thirteen year old, how did I even toast this beauty sef? Improvements 😂}

HER: Just call me later

{ As she walked away, I admired her. Suddenly my phone began to ring. I Checked the caller, it was my mom. Unsuspecting me picked the call with enthusiasm}

ME: Yo mum, wassup?

MUM: just keep that breath because you will need it later to explain to me what you meant by beauty while talking to Florence

ME: { Trying to laugh it off} Haa mum, who is Florence again?

MUM: Don't worry, I heard everything.... Just start coming home right now!!

Before I could say a thing again the line went dead. Haa, village people, the first time I honoured an invite see the Wahala am in like this... But wait oo, who was this Florence sef? Like a flash I remembered the girl I just talked with.....

Wait oo..... Let it not be what am thinking oo

As my mind ran around trying to put strings together, my heart was pumping too much blood....

Then it hit me! Florence was sent to test me.... 👀
