🌙 TASU'A & ASHURA 1448 AH 🌙

Alhamdulillah, Allah has given us another opportunity to witness the blessed days of Muharram.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ encouraged fasting on the Day of Ashura, and he hoped that Allah would forgive the sins of the previous year for the one who fasts it.

Let us prepare ourselves for the fasting of Tasu'a (9th Muharram) and Ashura (10th Muharram), increase our du'a, dhikr, recitation of the Qur'an, and good deeds.

May Allah forgive our sins, accept our fasting, and make us among His righteous servants. Ameen.

Alhamdulillah for the blessing of Islam.

Being a Muslim is one of the greatest favors Allah has bestowed upon us. Islam guides us to the truth, teaches us good character, and brings us closer to our Creator.

Allah says:

﴿الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلَا أَنْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ﴾

"All praise is due to Allah, who guided us to this. We would never have been guided if Allah had not guided us." (Qur'an 7:43)

Alhamdulillah to be a Muslim. Alhamdulillah for the gift of Iman. Alhamdulillah for the guidance of the Qur'an.

May Allah keep us firm upon Islam, increase us in faith, and grant us a good ending. Ameen.

I wish to clarify that the picture circulating on social media portraying me as a Senate aspirant was posted without my knowledge or prior consent. I sincerely appreciate the brother who shared it, as I believe it was done out of love, respect, and goodwill towards me.
As an Imam, Islamic scholar, lecturer, and proprietor of an Islamic school, I have no current intention of contesting for any political office or engaging in partisan politics. I do not use my position to campaign for any political party. Our duty is to guide our people with sincerity, pray for our leaders, and encourage justice, honesty, and good governance.
As responsible citizens, we should exercise our civic right by voting and encouraging others to vote for trustworthy, competent, and God-fearing individuals who will serve the people with integrity and the fear of Allah. We should support what is good and stand against injustice, regardless of political affiliation.
At the same time, Islam teaches us to appreciate those who do good. We cannot deny that some public office holders and politicians have extended support to our Islamic schools, our communities, and the Muslim Ummah. We pray that Allah rewards them for every good they have done, guides them to do even more, and grants them sincerity and wisdom in leadership. Appreciating good deeds should not be mistaken for political campaigning; rather, it is an act of gratitude and fairness.
I also use this opportunity to appeal to friends, former students, philanthropists, and all well-wishers to support the noble mission of our Islamic institution. Through Allah's grace, we remain committed to nurturing children upon the Qur'an and Sunnah, sound Islamic knowledge, good character, and beneficial education. Your prayers, encouragement, and assistance will help us expand this service to the Ummah, and may Allah reward everyone who contributes to the cause of Islamic education.
