Tell me why I chose a profession where, once I sit at my sewing machine, I can sew all through the night without even feeling sleepy. 😩😂
My sewing machine was faulty for about 4–5 days, and because of my 9–5 job, I couldn't find time to get it repaired. Honestly, I felt so frustrated because I had customer orders waiting, and I do most of my sewing at night after work.
Since next week is the end of the month, I've been trying to finish all my pending orders. So yesterday evening, I sat down to sew... and before I knew it, it was after 5 a.m. this morning! The funny part? I wasn't even sleepy—I had to force myself to go to bed.
Then tell me why I slept around 5 a.m., woke up by 8:30 a.m., and my whole body felt like I hadn't slept at all. 😂
Is it only tailoring that's this stressful, or are other professions like this too?
But honestly, no matter how stressful it gets, I still enjoy sewing through the night. It's only when I'm done that reality hits me that I actually didn't sleep. What's your own experience with any type of job you are doing?❤️🧵

But there's something about this dress that kept making me look twice.

A lot of people don't know this... I actually started my tailoring journey with men's wear. 😅

The first clothes I ever got paid to make were for men. Back then in Enugu, most of my customers were church members and my brother's friends. That's where my tailoring journey really began before I later focused more on women's wear.

Recently, one of those old customers saw one of my viral posts and reached out. He said, "I've been looking for your number for a long time. I don't even know how I misplaced it." 😂

Guess what? He sent me 4 fabrics to sew for him!

This is one of them, and I'll be making a clean, ready-to-wear standard shirt and shorts set.
