Ikoyi, arguably the most affluent neighborhood in Nigeria is home to some of the wealthiest individuals both at home and around the world. Today, land in some parts of it sells for over N1.5B for a 600sqm plot size. The market is largely driven by men with the bag and the following are two indexes influencing its pricing. 1️⃣ DEMAND AGAINST SUPPLY Inspite it’s overly high price, the demand for Ikoyi is the highest in west Africa if not the entire continent, but land supply is constant (apart from a few reclamations done). Price naturally goes up to maintain an equilibrium, meanwhile sellers are willing to relinquish their properties only if there is a good-enough price offer (if nah you nko☺️). 2️⃣ THE COMPETITION Anyone buying in Ikoyi or other high end locations should know that he/ she is in competition with some other rich folks (businessmen, celebrities, politicians, developers, ‘diasporeans’ alike) who can go the extra mile to secure a piece (so it is one against them😒). Property buyers who can not deal with these high prices can choose to consider investing early in other more affordable but valuable districts of Lagos or buy bits like apartments. City boys part 2 Story time: so these boys (Gabriel and Alex) showed up at my crib to chill as usual.. Omo there was no food at home... and our usual spot was closed 😫😫😫 We had to act quickly. Trust talk

One of the things I hate is having 5-10 mins to get the photos of the decor in the reception space and asking the vendors to clear the room and everyone just stands on the wall. Y’all do understand that if you can see me then I can see you and if I can see you with my eyes then my camera can see you. (Pulls hair) This drives me insane!

Get out of the room and go have a seat somewhere. Why is it so difficult to clear a room for the room shot?

The bride and groom do not know you personally and I bet don’t want you in the background of their photos, I’m NOT photoshopping you out! Because the easiest solution is for you to simply LEAVE!

Don’t be that person. Just clear the room.
