I am deeply saddened by the demise of my colleague, brother and friend, Ladayo Bodunrin. I met Ladayo in my penultimate year in uni some 8 years ago. What started as a client relationship where I designed his wedding photo-books became a friendship that at times was like a glue, find me and I’ll know where Ladayo was. As life brought me back to Lagos in 2022, we gradually grew apart but remained cordial.

He was a mentor, friend, colleague and business partner. For 5 years, we traveled far and wide Nigeria to shoot weddings and burials, from Edo to Lagos, Ibadan and Abia. I designed photo-books for Ladayo and he gave me my first set of weddings as . We exchanged creative ideas and fought sometimes on what was best but he was always open to new ideas and this showed in how his work grew better and better. Ladayo played a huge role in the development of my personal fashion, he introduced me to perfumes, he loved creed aventus a lot in 2020-21, a personal favorite of mine till this day.

Ladayo, you will be greatly missed and I looked forward to when we would meet again but life hasn’t given us that chance. I hope you’re in a better place, where pain and the evil of this world doesn’t exist anymore. Until we meet again, rest easy eyan wizzy.
