How to edit you used content and repost it as a content creator
Yes, you can repost your old videos from your device to your page, especially if you still own the original content. But I recommend making some meaningful changes so the repost feels fresh rather than simply uploading the exact same file.
Before reposting, change these:
Edit the opening 3–5 seconds — use a new hook.
Change the caption — write a fresh caption that matches the video.
Add a new voice-over or slightly re-record your explanation.
Change the text on screen — use a different headline or teaching point.
Trim or rearrange parts of the video where appropriate.
Use a new thumbnail/cover.
Add your current branding — e.g., your page name or logo.
Add a fresh CTA — “Follow for more Facebook tips” or “Share this with another creator.”
If the old video has another platform's watermark, remove it by going back to your original video file rather than downloading the watermarked version.
Update outdated information before reposting, especially Facebook features that may have changed.
