The Associate Pastor of ECWA Goodnews Church, GRA Lafia, Pastor Joshua Ewuga, has reaffirmed that the Church of Christ remains undefeatable because its foundation is built upon the solid rock. Speaking during a Sunday service on June 7, 2026, Pastor Ewuga emphasized that the church is not a mere social gathering but a divine institution established by God. He took his Bible readings from Mark Chapter 1 verses 14 to 15 and 2 Timothy Chapter 2 verse 19, stressing that those who profess love for Christ must demonstrate it through obedience to God's will.
Delivering a sermon titled "Goodnews," the cleric noted that God's mission of salvation has been firmly established and sealed. He urged believers to remain steadfast in their faith and commitment to the gospel, adding that genuine Christianity goes beyond church attendance and requires active participation in advancing God's kingdom on earth.
Speaking further during activities marking the 34th anniversary of ECWA Goodnews Church, GRA Lafia, Pastor Ewuga challenged young people to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the church. He cautioned against pride and self-glorification, noting that some individuals boast about being founders or pioneers without making lasting contributions to God's work. According to him, believers must invest their time, resources, and talents in serving God rather than living like ordinary people of the world.
The Associate Pastor also called on Christians to move beyond the walls of the church and actively share the message of Jesus Christ with others. He stressed the need for unity among believers, observing that even those engaged in evil acts often work together to achieve their goals. Pastor Ewuga therefore urged Christians to embrace love, cooperation, and unity for the advancement of the gospel and the glory of God.
