There is this notion many of us have about the Volkswagen brand especially amongst the "old". I recently attended a lecture where a professor was discussing on how change in taste and fashion affects the market (demand and supply) for certain products and she referred to Volkwagen as an outdated vehicle when making an example. I immediately turned to my friend and I was like "wow! she has no idea...". For a benefit of doubt though, I want to presume that she was referring to the old Volkwagen Beetle.

To cut the long story short, for those of us who think like her, Volkswagen is the richest automobile company in the world today and they own some of the biggest marques you hear of and admire so much in the AutoWorld such as Bugatti, Porsche, Bentley, Lamgbogini, Audi, Dugatti, SEAT, Skoda etc...

Surprised??? So stop looking down on your VW GOLF, you should be proud of it!

For those interested in a Toyota Corolla vehicle (2006 - 2012 model), it is important to know where the vehicle was manufactured before purchasing.

Not too sure, but some car users believe that the Corollas manufactured in South Africa are substandard.

So apart from checking the driver's side door at the door post (where the door latches when it is closed) where also the VIN can be accessed, you can easily spot the differences between a South African and an European corolla with a quick glance at the interior.
