The story of an individual masquerading as an engineer. These photos depict a project undertaken by a bricklayer who falsely claimed to be an engineer, constructing something he clearly did not comprehend, let alone explain to his client. The client, who was visiting one of my sites in the Dr. Rex area, stopped by, and we exchanged pleasantries. He requested a few minutes of my time to visit his site, and upon arrival, I observed that the entire space was partitioned. His only statement was, 'Arch, please take over the project. I require a standard three-bedroom structure, similar to the one you are currently completing.' I assured him that I would visit the site, provide a possible design, and minimize the demolition of existing walls. A few days later, we reconvened and engaged in an extensive discussion, after which the project officially commenced.
