Life outside Jesus
A risk i will never be willing to take.

I am Yours, Lord.
Do with me as You please.
If obedience demands tears, let me weep and obey.
If surrender costs me comfort, reputation, relationships, or dreams, let them all be laid upon Your altar.
I was not called to negotiate with You.
I was called to follow You.
Make me a soldier who does not abandon the battlefield because it became difficult. Make me a servant who does not resign because the assignment became heavy. Let me not love convenience more than I love Your voice.
If I must walk through valleys, I will walk.
If I must wait through seasons of silence, I will wait.
If I must stand alone, I will stand.
If I must break, let me break in Your hands.
I refuse to worship ease.
I refuse to bow to comfort.
I refuse to place my feelings above Your purpose.
When my heart trembles, I will obey.
When my eyes are filled with tears, I will obey.
When I do not understand, I will obey.
When obedience feels like death, I will still obey.
For what is my life if it is not spent on the One who gave me breath?
Take my plans.
Take my ambitions.
Take my expectations.
Take everything that stands between me and Your perfect will.
Let Your desires become my desires.
Let Your burden become my burden.
Let Your pleasure become my reward.
I will do as You please, whatever the cost.
I will not run from the cross You have assigned to me.
I will not abandon the post You have stationed me at.
I will not betray Your trust because the road became hard.
By Your grace, I will remain faithful.
And if obedience requires everything from me, then let everything be given.
For I would rather suffer in the center of Your will than prosper outside of it.
I am Your soldier.
I am Your servant.
I am Your offering.
And when my story is finished, let it be said that I held my ground, kept the faith, finished the race, and died at my post.
