Jonathan too has confirmed that
bokoharams killed more muslims
than anybody else....and are still
killing. Yet how many times do
you hear some people directly
accusing the likes of Buhari to be
responsible for all these?
The rational question is: can
Buhari be behind this & still get
the support of that magnitude
from the same victims of these
wanton killings?
2015: JONATHAN IS
MANIPULATING, DIVIDING NIGERIA
– Nasir el-Rufai declares
Posted by: The Citizen in Headline,
Other News 2 days ago
The former Minister of Federal
Capital Territory (FCT) and Deputy
National Secretary of All
Progressives Congress (APC),
Malam Nasir El- Rufai at the
weekend accused President
Goodluck Jonathan of introducing
religion and ethnicity which
encouraged division in the
country to actualize his ambition
in 2015.
Speaking as the Guest of the Week
on Liberty FM radio, Malam El-Rufai
condemned President Jonathan
administration saying it is
unfortunate that a leader from a
minority ethnic group could
embark on such a divide and rule
tactics.
On Crude Oil theft in the country,
Malam El- Rufai blamed Jonathan
for seeking intervention of the US
stressing that the president
knows those stealing the crude
oil.
“ President Jonathan knows what
they are doing with the money,
they are preparing for war and
Nigeria will defeat them.”
El-Rufai averred that bad
leadership in Kaduna State had
denied the state the opportunity
of being the beacon of the North.
His words: “Unfortunately,
Jonathan’s political handlers
thought that if they introduce
religion they will be able to divide
the north and take the christian
part of the North to vote for
Jonathan. And if they introduce
ethnicity, they will get the whole
of the South. That’s their winning
strategy and now they are
surprised that after dividing the
country they are finding it difficult
to get the cooperation of
everyone.”
He continued “The danger of
division is that you deplete social
trust which makes it very difficult
for you to cover and they are still
playing this games. Now if
Jonathan is from the minority,
how did he get elected? Was he
elected by his minority groups or
by other Nigerians?
Because if we all decided to be
ethnic, Jonathan cannot even win
election outside Bayelsa State,
because, apart from Bayelsa ,
there is no other place where the
Ijaws are not a minority in
Nigeria. So when people like
Edwin Clark, Jonathan play the
ethnic and religious cards, I just
look at them because it is not
going to work. The moment
anyone resorts to ethnicity and
religion, it’s because he doesn’t
have a better ground. If you are
performing and doing the work
of the people why do you need to
resort to that?”
The former minister of the FCT,
continued, “ It is really wrong and
one of the tragedies of the
Jonathan leadership that whoever
inherits the leadership of Nigeria
will have to spend the first or
second year repairing the trust
and relationship between the
various ethnic and religious
groups.
Everything under Jonathan
administration has been reduced
to these two things which is
unfortunate. Because politics is
not about religion neither is it
about ethnicity.”
El.Rufai however added “There
are many dangers confronting the
Nigerian nation. What is worrying
is the kind of rhetoric coming out.
Whenever Asari Dokubo and Clark
speaks, just know that a week
earlier they had been called to the
Villa. How can a small ethnic
group like the Ijaws threaten
Nigeria and the government is
keeping mute over it ? And the
expected reaction is that you’ll
also have people from the North
issuing a similar threat.
Speaking on the performance and
democratic dividends in Kaduna
State, he said, “we’ve not had
leadership in Kaduna State since
Alhaji Ahmed Makarfi left office as
Governor. I know Governor
Makarfi performed well in the
state in terms of peace and
infrastructures put in place. Since
he left, Namadi Sambo as a
Governor was a disaster. He
wasted the resources of the state
and the state acquired debt that
late Governor Yakowa complained
to me about before his death.”
Presidency claims
African Development
Bank report indicting
Nigerian government in
fight against poverty is
‘political’ The AfDB report said
poverty has risen in
Nigeria. In what has become a
norm with the Goodluck
Jonathan administration
to discountenance local
and international
independent assessments that appear unfavourable
to the government, the
Presidency on Saturday
claimed that the African
Development Bank (AfDB)
’s report on Nigeria’s poverty reduction efforts
was false.
The Special Adviser to the
President on Media and
Publicity, Reuben Abati,
said the report was “devoid of truth and
political.”
The AfDB, in its annual
report titled African
Economic Outlook, said
poverty has worsened since 1996 and through
11 years of the Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP,
rule.
“The proportion of people
(Nigerians) living below the national poverty line
has worsened from 65.5
per cent in 1996 to 69.0
per cent in 2010,” the
report said.
The PDP has ruled Nigeria since 1999, 11 of the 15
years covered by the AfDB
report.
The report follows others
by other regional and
global organisations including the World Bank
that were also denounced
by the Jonathan
administration.
The World Bank had
stated in its ‘Nigeria Economic Report’ released
in May that “Poverty rates
remain high in Nigeria,
particularly in rural areas.
These rates declined
between 2003-2004 and 2009- 2010, although not
nearly as fast as would be
expected from the pace of
economic growth in the
country,” the World Bank
said in May, 2013.” “While the officially
reported growth rates of
GDP well exceed
population growth in the
country, the pace of
poverty reduction does not, this implies that the
number of poor Nigerians
living below the poverty
line has grown
measurably,” the report
stated. The AfDB in its report also
faulted efforts by the
Nigerian government led
by President Goodluck
Jonathan to fight poverty .
“Nigeria’s prospect of halving poverty by 2015
seems weak,” the report
stated.
While questioning the
AfDB report, Mr. Abati said
that it was inconceivable that AfDB’s report came
barely a month after the
United Nations gave an
award to Nigeria for its
efforts at reducing poverty
significantly in the country.
He recalled that the Food
and Agricultural
Organisation (FAO), a UN
body, at its 38th Session in
Rome in late June gave an award to Nigeria as one of
the nations that made
significant progress in
reducing hunger.
The Minister of Agriculture,
Akinwumi Adesina, represented President
Goodluck Jonathan in
receiving the award on
behalf of the government,
he stated. Mr. Adesina
presented the award to the president during a
Federal Executive Council
(FEC) meeting.
Mr. Abati said that such a
negative report from the
AfDB some weeks after the FAO award was
“suspicious and laced with
falsehood and political’’.
Abubakar Attahiru wrote..........
I wonder what people see in Nuhu Ribadu
that they are now clamoring for his
presidential candidacy. Is it due to his sojourn
at the EFCC that was merely used by OBJ to
witch hunt political opponents. Else how
many people did he successfully caught, taken
to court, tried & prosecuted?
What are the special qualities that Nuhu
possess to warrant him occupying this
exalted position of a president?
In 1983, Bamanga Tukur was the
Governor of the defunct Gongola
State (now Adamawa & Taraba) and 30 years later, he is today the
Chairman of the ruling Party, The PDP;
Dr. Bello Halliru was commissioner in the Old Sokoto State (now Sokoto, Kebbi & Zamfara) and 33 years after he is today Minister of Defence; Major General David Mark(rtd) was the military governor of Niger State in 1984 and 28years later he is today the Senate President; Gov. Murtala Nyako was the governor of Niger State in 1976 and 36years later he is today the Governor of Adamawa State; Ogbonnaya Onu was governor of
Abia State in 1992 and 20years after he is today the National Chairman of ANPP; Gov. David Jonah Jang was the governor of Benue State in 1985 and 27years after he is today the governor of plateau state; and Martins Elechi the Ebonyi State Governor is over 80 years old! Only in Nigeria is this possible, where the youth of today have no hope into the future! Where do we go from here?
People Deceive People (PDP), 1985, IBB was the president of Nigeria and our teachers told us that Buhari was the former Head of state..Our teacher also called us "the leaders of tomorrow".. 27years later, IBB and Buhari are still contesting for Presidency..Its either our teacher lied to us about being the leaders of tomorrow..Or tomorrow is yet to come.. Who's fooling who?
Some of us ran out of the country,Obasanjo went abroad chasing them, telling all nations to deport Nigerian youths.
Let's stand and fight for our right cos we are the leaders of Today... Pls let all youth come to an alliance and fight for the unborn. We can't continue like this.
Pass it to everyone if you believe in the NIGERIA DREAM.

I remember there was a girl, I
really loved but I never had the
guts to tell her. One night, at
around 11pm, I summoned some
courage and sent her an sms
saying,'I love you so much, I
wanna date u. Please reply and tell
me how u feel.'A few seconds
later I received a message alert on
my phone. I was sooo scared &
tensed to open it that night, so I
decided not to check the reply in
the morning when I am
less tensed.When I woke up d
next day, I said my prayers, did my
morning chores, brushed my
teeth,ate breakfast, took a bath,
combed my hair, then climbed
back to my bed and gently picked
up my phone to read the
message. So i started

“About 93,000 teenagers, 8,000
of them under the age of 16,
become pregnant in Britain each
year. Just over half the
pregnancies of those under 16
end in abortion. In the West, only
Canada, New Zealand and the
United States have higher rates.
The Prime Minister Tony Blair on
learning that two other 12 year-
olds were pregnant by their teen-
age boyfriends had to call for a
new national moral purpose and
in June 2000, the government
announced a $96 million
[N7.7billion] plan aimed at cutting
in half the number of teen
pregnancies. The government also
plans a major overhaul of s*x
education and contraceptives
services, which will be publicised
more openly and made more
