The Nasarawa State Police Command has denied the trending reports claiming that students of St. Peter’s Foundation Secondary School in Rukubi, Doma LGA, were kidnapped on Friday.
According to a statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel, the circulating stories on social media and in some online news platforms are misleading and do not represent what actually happened. The statement explained that the scare began after some students saw armed local hunters while heading to the school field for their Physical and Health Education class. Thinking they were kidnappers, the students ran off in fear, but their teachers later guided them safely back to the school compound.
