I found a Hack.

I wanted to process my sweet potato for the flour and i sliced it using a knife , if you have done this before you will notice at a stage your arms will hurt a bit . I kept at it and in the process an idea dropped. This vegetable peeler came to mind. I always utilise it to peel, not as a sweet potato slicer, I tried it and it worked perfectly. Less stress , less drying time for the chips .

Sweet potato flour has various uses. Poundo, pap, for baking.

Water it

I have a little space behind my house and I have been having challenges with wetting the plants.
A few weeks back,i decided to plant Ewedu(Vegetable) and consciously Water it everyday for 2weeks. Lo and behold it bloomed and green beautiful leaves emerged.

Guess what in 3 others sacks Irish potatoes sprouted to my surprise. How? I planted some last raining season and I guess little seeds where hidden in the bag and sprouted.
Two lessons I learnt from my journey:

1. Consistency works

2 . Hidden Rewards comes when you take a step.

My hidden reward was even better than the initial plan .

So here we go

Measure the qty of beans needed for a certain period.

Pick and separate the dirts.

Take to the commercial grinders in the market and tell them to break into small pieces for later use(not powder o)

See picture 1 insert for sample.

When next you need to make a batch of your Moi Moi or Akara , measure quantity needed and pour into water

You will notice the skin and dirts floating in the water

Rub the broken beans lightly to remove any other skin left,swish the water with your hands .
Sieve the skin , replace water till you're comfortable it's clean . No hard rubbing needed
