🦠 Gram Staining: A Simple Technique 🧪

Gram Staining process, a laboratory technique used to classify bacteria as either Gram-positive or Gram-negative based on their cell wall structure.
The steps are:
1. Crystal Violet (Purple): Applied for 60 seconds to stain all cells purple.

2. Iodine (Orange): Added for 60 seconds as a mordant to fix the purple stain to the cell wall.

3.95% Ethyl Alcohol: Used for 5-10 seconds to decolorize Gram-negative bacteria, while Gram-positive bacteria retain the purple color.

4.Safranin (Pink): Applied for 45 seconds to stain Gram-negative bacteria pink, leaving Gram-positive bacteria purple.

Final result:
Gram-positive bacteria appear purple.
Gram-negative bacteria appear pink.

This method is essential for diagnosing bacterial infections.
