Our Principal Partner, Prof. Yusuf Ali SAN FCIArb, the 1st Kuliya Gari of Ilorin on Wednesday 18th March 2026 played host to a great son of Ilorin Emirate , Amb Yahaya Seriki who is also a successful businessman and politician in our Chambers.

Our Principal expressed delight in playing host to this true son of the Emirate , who has impacted many lives in kwara state and beyond. The Kuliya prayed for him and enjoin him to do more humanitarian work for our people .

Ambassador Seriki appreciated the Kuliya describing him as a role model within the Emirate and beyond.

It was a special moment in our office as Mr. Abiodun Abdulkareem formally presented a copy of his book, “Kuliya of Ilorin: A Life of Purpose,” to our Principal Partner, Prof. Yusuf Ali, SAN, the 1st Kuliya Gari of Ilorin.

The book traces the remarkable journey of our Prof Yusuf Ali, from his roots in Ilorin to national prominence, while also reflecting on the broader legacy of Ilorin as a historic centre of learning, character, and moral leadership.

Mr. Abdulkareem, a seasoned journalist, information management advocate, and accomplished author, is widely respected for his leadership and enduring commitment to public service.

We are grateful for this thoughtful work that documents an inspiring life of purpose and service, and for the honour of this presentation.

We were deeply honoured to welcome His Excellency, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki to our Ilorin office.

His visit provided a valuable opportunity for meaningful engagement and reflection on leadership, service, and the continued advancement of our institutions and society.

This distinguished recognition celebrates his outstanding contributions to taxation law and practice in Nigeria.

The ceremonial sashing in our office marked a truly memorable moment, reflecting excellence, dedication, and leadership in the profession. We congratulate him on this remarkable achievement and are inspired by his unwavering commitment to advancing legal and tax practice.

We gathered for a send-off lunch in honour of Mr. Alex Okoja, ESQ., to celebrate his time with us and the contributions he made during his tenure.

It was a moment of gratitude, reflection, and camaraderie as colleagues shared memories and well-wishes in appreciation of his dedication and service.

As he embarks on the next chapter of his professional journey, we wish him continued success and fulfilment in all his future endeavours. He leaves with our sincere appreciation and best regards, and we look forward to seeing the heights he will undoubtedly attain.

As is our tradition, Yusuf O. Ali & Co. held its Annual General Meeting and Annual Lecture on December 22, 2025. The event was graced by eminent personalities and was held at the Firm’s Ilorin Office. It featured an insightful lecture titled “Navigating the New Nigeria Tax Act 2025,” delivered by Mr. Shehu Mogaji, representing Mrs. Shade Omoniyi, executive chairman, Kwara State Inland Revenue Service.

The session offered valuable insights into recent developments in Nigeria’s tax regime and sparked engaging discussions among guests, members, and other attendees.

The event once again shows our commitment to continuous learning, intellectual engagement, and maintaining the highest standards of legal practice.
