This is something most laptop users in Nigeria ignore until it causes a very expensive problem.
A faulty charger port does not just stop your laptop from charging. It sends unstable voltage through your
entire system.
That unstable voltage can:
- Damage your battery cells permanently
- Fry your keyboard controller chip
- In serious cases, damage your motherboard
I had a customer last month whose keyboard stopped working completely. When I diagnosed it, the real
problem was a faulty DC jack that had been slowly destroying the keyboard controller for weeks.
Repair cost 30,000 Naira. Could have been 10,000 Naira if caught early.
How to test your charger port Wiggle the charger gently while plugged in. If charging cuts in and out, get it
checked immediately.

If your laptop has a charger port issue, bring it in. And if you need a properly tested laptop where all ports have been verified DM me.

Your laptop is slow? Before you format check your RAM usage first.
Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), click on the Performance tab, then select Memory.
If your RAM is constantly above 80% usage even when idle, your laptop isn't slow because of a virus it's slow because it's running out of memory.
Formatting won't fix that. A RAM upgrade will.

Most people have no idea how healthy their laptop battery is until it dies on them at the worst moment.
Here is how to check yours in 60 seconds on Windows:
1. Press Windows + R
2. Type CMD and press Enter
3. Type: powercfg /batteryreport
4. Open the report file it creates
5. Look for Design Capacity vs Full Charge Capacity
If your Full Charge is less than 60% of Design Capacity your battery is already half dead.
A healthy laptop battery should hold at least 80% of its original capacity.

✅ If your bag isn’t waterproof, quickly wrap your laptop in nylon or clothes

❌ Never open or use it in the rain
