Daniel Bwala recently appeared on Al Jazeera TV, and his interview has caused a lot of reactions online. Many people who watched the interview felt he was not confident enough to stand by some of the things he had said before.

During the conversation, it looked like he was denying or changing his earlier statements. This made many viewers question why he accepted the invitation to speak on an international platform if he was not ready to defend his own words.

Some people also felt that the interview ended up embarrassing both him and members of the APC. One moment that caught people’s attention was when the interviewer told him, “Good luck to you if that’s your defence tonight.” That statement quickly spread on social media and many people reacted to it.

The interview has also started a bigger discussion online. Many people are saying that it is not easy to defend a government that many citizens are unhappy with, especially on an international platform where the whole world is watching.

For some observers, the interview showed how difficult it can be to promote or defend government policies when there are many criticisms from the public.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has delivered a blunt warning to the international coalition, stating that any harm to North Korean citizens currently in Iran would prompt North Korea to immediately enter the conflict. He emphasized that the safe return of his citizens is “non-negotiable,” effectively introducing a nuclear-armed wildcard into an already unstable regional crisis.

The warning follows rising tensions after Benjamin Netanyahu, prime minister of Israel, referred to Iran as “50 North Koreas,” highlighting the deep ideological divide between the opposing sides. Meanwhile, geopolitical pressure continues to build. Spain has agreed to cooperate with the United States after facing heavy trade tariffs, while Qatar remains under a state of emergency with gas production halted.

The military situation is escalating quickly. An Iranian warship has reportedly been sunk, the IRIS Fateh submarine is believed to have been destroyed, and United States Congress has voted to block additional U.S. strikes—even as the United States Department of Defense seeks $50 billion to replace nearly $2 billion in lost equipment.

At the same time, Russia is reportedly preparing to secure Iran’s nuclear facilities after losing contact with leadership in Tehran. NATO forces in Turkey are on high alert after intercepting a ballistic missile, fueling concerns that the crisis could expand beyond the region.

With Kim Jong Un warning of possible direct intervention, the international community is watching closely as the situation risks escalating from a regional conflict into a far broader global confrontation.🌏

A tragic incident has claimed the life of a young motorcycle influencer, Karla Thaynnara, and sadly led to the death of her father shortly after.

According to reports from Brazilian media outlet Correio Braziliense, the 25 year old lost her life on Tuesday morning around 8 a.m. after her motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car on a highway. The crash caused her to fall onto the road, where she was then struck by another vehicle.

Her father, José Carlos Andrade Nogueira, a reserve military police officer, reportedly arrived at the accident scene. After being informed that his daughter had died, he was said to have taken his own life in the aftermath of the devastating news.

Karla is survived by her young daughter.

A joint funeral ceremony was held on Wednesday to honor both Karla and her father. During the service, Sandro Avelar, the Secretary of Public Security of the Federal District, described the situation as a heartbreaking tragedy.

Karla had built a strong following on Instagram, where she often shared moments from her life including family time, travels, fitness routines, and especially her passion for motorcycles.

Many of her posts reflected her love for staying active and working out. Her final upload, posted on February 21, showed her exercising on a workout machine.

Her social media page also featured numerous photos and videos of her riding different motorcycles, sometimes wearing a helmet and other times without one, highlighting how much riding meant to her.

Reports say the DSS has taken Udeme Monday Stephen into custody over thrêats directed at Peter Obi and Oyegun. According to the information circulating, Udeme allegedly posted on his X account that Obi narrowly escaped deátħ and warned that when he visits Rivers State, his “boys” would make sure he doesn’t leavè alive.

Security operatives were said to have used digital forensic tools to trace the X account back to him. He is expected to be arraigned in court soon.

Now the big question, was he actually involved in any physical attack, or was he simply making reckless thrèats online?

This situation should serve as a serious warning to people who believe hiding behind fakè social media accounts makes them untouchable. Some individuals create anonymous Facebook profiles with made up names and use them to promote violence, spread illegal content, or issue thrèats to others just because of differing opinions. Others use those pages to insulț, intimidatè, or engage in activities that clearly cross legal boundaries.

The truth is this: anonymity online is not immunity. Once law enforcement decides to investigate and focus on a case, digital footprints can be traced. If authorities narrow down on you, they can identify you.

Using a fàke name does not protect you from accountability. If you’re engaging in thrêats, promoting violènce, or participating in unlawful activities online, you can still be tracked and held responsible.

Social media is not a shield for criminal behavior.

Tinubu Declares State Of Emergency On Nigeria’s Security Training Institutions

President Bola Tinubu has declared a state of emergency on nigeria’s security training facilities, describing their poor state as a threat to the efficiency of the nation’s internal security agencies.

The announcement covers institutions under the nigeria police force (NPF), the nigeria security and civil defence corps (NSCDC), and other agencies. the development was confirmed by enugu governor peter mbah, who heads the nec ad-hoc committee on security training reforms.

During an inspection in Lagos, Mbah said the president’s directive followed his october 23 approval for a total overhaul of police and civil defence training centres. “The president recognized the urgent need to restore pride, professionalism, and confidence among our security personnel,” mbah stated.

He noted that the committee, which has 30 days to submit its report, divided into two teams — one led by Nasarawa Governor Abdullahi Sule to inspect institutions in the North, and another led by himself in the south. according to him, consultants are assessing what needs to be rebuilt, re-equipped, and modernized.

Mbah explained that the move would establish an intervention fund for rebuilding and digital transformation, adding that Tinubu’s approval of 30,000 new police recruits required proper training infrastructure. “We cannot train a 21st-century force using 20th-century systems,” he said, emphasizing the need for digital skills in ai, robotics, and mechatronics.

He stressed that the initiative was proactive and not in reaction to any external comment. “this directive was issued before recent foreign remarks. the president is simply addressing decades of neglect,” he clarified.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, former IGP Alkali Usman Baba, and AIG Olatunji Disu, who oversees the SPU, affirmed that the committee’s findings will guide the next phase of comprehensive reforms across Nigeria’s security training institutions.

Ex-Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu To Die By Hanging For Stealing Public Funds

In a landmark ruling that has stunned the nation, the Abia State High Court has sentenced former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to death by hanging after investigators traced ₦1 trillion to his secret foreign account in Australia.

The money, according to court documents, was originally earmarked for the ambitious Abia International Airport project and a light rail system that promised to change the face of the state. Instead, prosecutors revealed it was siphoned off and hidden abroad.

Delivering the verdict, Justice Chukwuemeka Nwogu said:

“The evidence before this court is overwhelming. This was not just theft — it was the betrayal of millions of Abians who were denied progress and hope. Such crimes against humanity must carry the highest penalty.”

He added:

“With ₦1 trillion, Abia could have had two airports, a modern rail line, and stable electricity. Instead, the state was left in decay. This sentence is not just punishment, but a message that no one is above the law.”

The courtroom fell silent as the sentence was pronounced, with gasps breaking out among observers. Outside the court, reactions were divided — some residents celebrated the judgment as “historic justice,” while others said they were shocked by both the scale of the corruption and the severity of the ruling.

Security agencies confirmed that Ikpeazu has been placed under heavy guard as arrangements for the ex*****on move forward. Efforts are also underway to repatriate the stolen funds.

Incident Involving an Unruly Passenger on August 10, 2025

Ibom Air confirms that on Sunday, August 10, 2025, an incident occurred on board our Uyo–Lagos flight involving a passenger, Ms. Comfort Emmanson, whose conduct posed a serious threat to the safety of our crew, passengers, and aircraft.

Shortly before take-off from Uyo, Ms. Emmanson was instructed in line with standard aviation safety procedures, to switch off her mobile phone. She bluntly refused to comply until the Pilot-in-Command made an announcement, after which a fellow passenger seated beside her took the phone and switched it off. This action prompted a verbal tirade from Ms. Emmanson. The situation was eventually calmed, and the flight departed as scheduled.

Upon arrival in Lagos, Ms. Emmanson waited for all other passengers to disembark and then proceeded to confront the Purser who had earlier instructed her. She walked up to the unsuspecting Purser, stepped on her, forcibly tore off her wig, removed her glasses and threw it to the floor, and used her footwear to assault her. She slapped her several times and when the other cabin crew member tried to intervene, she slapped her too. She then attempted to forcibly remove a fire extinguisher to use as a weapon, an act that could have damaged and grounded the aircraft.

By this time, the Pilot-in-Command had alerted airport security. Before security could arrive, the Purser as seen on the viral video on the internet, prevented the passenger from leaving the aircraft until security arrived. The arrival of Ibom Air Security personnel, did not deter the passenger as she attacked them as well, lashing out violently at both Ibom Air and FAAN security. She was then restrained and removed from the aircraft by force. Even after disembarking, she continued to assault both Ibom Air and FAAN security staff, and even slapped the ground supervisor.

The passenger was removed from the ramp and taken into custody by FAAN security and handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation.
Ibom Air has since submitted a report on the incident to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and placed a travel restriction on Ms. Emmanson, who will no longer be permitted to fly on any of our aircraft.

Ibom Air reiterates its zero-tolerance policy towards any form of unruly or violent conduct that threatens the safety of passengers, crew, or equipment. Such behavior will be met with the strongest possible response, including legal action and permanent restriction from our services.

We commend the bravery and professionalism of our crew in handling this situation under extremely challenging circumstances, as well as the swift support from airport security and the Nigeria Police.

Safety remains our highest priority. We urge all passengers to comply with crew instructions at all times for the safety, security, and comfort of everyone on board.

Signed
