The Member representing Ijebu North State Constituency I at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rasheed Kashamu, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to children across Ijebu North, Ogun State and Nigeria at large on the occasion of the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.

Hon. Kashamu described children as the pride of every nation and the foundation upon which the future of society is built, noting that every meaningful investment in children today is a direct investment in a stronger, safer and more prosperous tomorrow.

According to him, Children’s Day is not only a moment of celebration but also an important reminder of the collective responsibility of government, parents, teachers and community leaders to protect, nurture and guide every child toward greatness.

He emphasized the need for sustained efforts toward improving access to quality education, moral upbringing, healthcare and a conducive environment where children can grow, learn and fulfill their God-given potential without fear, neglect or limitation.

The lawmaker further encouraged children to remain focused, disciplined and committed to their education and personal development, while urging them to shun negative influences capable of jeopardizing their future aspirations.

“Today, we celebrate the innocence, brilliance, dreams and limitless potential of our children. They are the future leaders, innovators and nation builders whose success will determine the progress of our society. We must therefore continue to support and inspire them to become responsible and impactful citizens,” he stated.

He also commended parents, guardians, teachers and caregivers for their sacrifices and dedication toward raising responsible children despite prevailing socio-economic challenges.

Hon. Rasheed Kashamu prayed for God’s guidance, protection and wisdom upon all children and reaffirmed his continued commitment to policies and initiatives that will promote the welfare and development of young people across Ijebu North State Constituency I.

Eid-ul-Adha remains one of the most profound symbols of faith, obedience, sacrifice and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah. It is a sacred occasion that reminds us all of the enduring virtues of patience, selflessness, love for humanity and unwavering devotion to righteous causes.

Indeed, the lessons of this holy celebration call on us to strengthen the bonds of unity, extend compassion to one another and remain committed to peace, justice and collective progress. Beyond the festivities, this period should inspire us to uplift the vulnerable, support our neighbours and renew our hope for a better and more prosperous society.

This moment is both a significant milestone in the political journey of our great party and also a strong affirmation of the confidence reposed in Senator Adeola’s leadership capacity, political experience and enduring commitment to public service.

Over the years, Senator Adeola has distinguished himself through purposeful representation, administrative competence and a deep understanding of governance. Ogun state house of assembly member representing Ijebu North State Constituency I, Hon. Rasheed Kashamu has extended warm felicitations to former Deputy Governor of Ogun State and former Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Adegbenga Sefiu Kaka, on the occasion of his 74th birth anniversary.

Hon. Kashamu described Senator Kaka as a father, remarkable statesman, seasoned administrator and accomplished political leader whose contributions to the growth and development of Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State and the nation remain invaluable and enduring.

According to him, Senator Kaka’s exemplary leadership style, humility, wisdom and unwavering commitment to public service have continued to earn him respect across political, religious, and social divides. He noted that the celebrant’s years in public office were marked by integrity, purposeful leadership, and an uncommon passion for the welfare of the people.

“On behalf of my family, supporters and political associates, I heartily congratulate our revered leader, Senator Adegbenga Sefiu Kaka, as he celebrates his 74th birthday. Baba remains a shining example of principled leadership, political maturity and selfless service to humanity.

The time is becoming much nearer for the All Progressives' Congress (APC), like other political parties, to present flag bearers for various elective positions ahead of the 2027 general elections and the responsibility before members, leaders and stakeholders is about choosing capacity, loyalty, courage, competence and grassroots relevance. The people are yearning for representation that is visible, vocal and impactful and Hon. Rasheed Kashamu is indeed, the kind of progressive voice the moment demands.

The task ahead is not for a figurehead. It is for a bridge-builder. A legislator who understands the language of the grassroots, yet possesses the intelligence, confidence and political dexterity to engage effectively at the national stage. In Hon. Rasheed Kashamu, the APC has before it a young, vibrant and forward-thinking lawmaker whose political journey has consistently reflected the true ideals of progressive leadership.

2027 Reps Bid: Kashamu Clears Key Hurdle as APC Screening Holds in Abuja

Leading aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency, Hon. Rasheed Kashamu, on Saturday, appeared before the party’s screening committee as part of the ongoing process ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The screening exercise was held at Treasure Suites and was conducted by a committee chaired by former Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Mukhtari Shagari.

Kashamu, who is seeking to represent Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, was screened alongside other aspirants participating in the party’s nomination process.

The exercise formed part of the party’s internal procedures aimed at assessing the credentials, eligibility and preparedness of aspirants ahead of the forthcoming primaries.

Speaking shortly after the screening, Kashamu expressed confidence in the process and reaffirmed his commitment to offering purposeful and people-oriented representation if elected.

He also appreciated party leaders, supporters and stakeholders across the constituency for their encouragement and continued support toward his aspiration.

Party faithful and supporters who accompanied the aspirant described the screening as another significant step in his journey toward securing the party’s ticket for the House of Representatives seat in 2027.
