Crown Promise

Dear teachers,

I write to concerning the things I have seen in recent times. Nonetheless, this very issue are the things that has been taught from our pulpit for a very long time now...

Now I beseech you all, can we all agree, as Christians, that when we teach about poverty and riches, we should just leave the scripture that "Jesus was poor so that we can be rich", 2 Corin. 8:9? Because the truth is, when placed side by side, that scripture is not whether Jesus was poor in the materialistical sense but in the commonwealth of the blessedness of grace!

For the sake of enlightenment, I consider it a robbery to bring in such a weightier scripture to the argument of lack and want... Because in most cases, in an attempt to preach "kingdom wealth", self is glorified and mammon is celebrated, in the end, we nullify the believer's suffering and the affliction we bear in the pursuit of God, and in the workmanship of our calling...

So what happened to the book of Proverbs, Deuteronomy that even says "He gives you power to make wealth" and others?

Please let's stop mbok, it's embarrassing already...

Peace be unto you from our Lord Jesus Christ!

Maami, thank you for being that example, amplifying purity, godliness, grace, truth and that kingly aura in such a way that mirrors the kingdom and His Christ!

I am most grateful to God for the gift of you, Maami, you're that answered prayers that were long locked up in my heart. I grew up watching you on TV, and God, the sounds I heard came with such purity and power. One I will never forget is "Were"... Kai 😩⚡

And in 2022, our meeting wasn't just a coincidence, I knew God pulled up the surprise to wow me, doubtlessly I was wowedddd... Maami, on this day, I pray the Lord keeps, preserves and strengthens you for us all, for your world and your family, that your lights shine even brighter and your strength fails not in the days to come. That God, even your God, will look upon your labour and reward you bountifully in the name of Jesus!!

I love you Maami, and I honour every graces I have seen you carry with so much dignity, humility and fire. In this season, reign Maami, reign!

A HOLY COHABITATION

Lord Jesus thank you! Thank you, Lord, for so many moments in five years. Thank you for bringing us this far, indeed your plan is better than anything we've ever put together, indeed your lordship is better than any books read, counsel taken, words spoken or even prayers made...

When we began this journey, it didn't quite look like anything serious, it very much looked like we were going to break down sooner than expected, and head back to wherever we came from, but here we are sitting prettier after five years. Yes, it's been five years of your overwhelming love, immeasurable grace, and elasticated mercy, presented in an unfathomable reality so consistent than the oxygen in our lungs. Unprecedented really has been your preserving presence and each step leaves us in awe of who you are, the revelation of your greatness and the ultimate goal for the institution of marriage...

This is us coming back to say, with everything in us, "thank you Lord Jesus". For the blessings you poured upon us, for the gift of men, for the graces given, for the Holy Spirit and particularly, for this union, thank You Lord...

You, Lord, have taught us many things and one most prominent, is the capacity to trust beyond resources, far beyond what physical sight can lens. A faith that reaches far into the things above, and in this, as one of the products of faith, is the awareness of living a life of sacrifice, a life lived only for You! Indeed, this five years looks ten years because there're so many things to be grateful for, many things to say, but then again, today isn't that day.

However Lord, take every glory, every praise, every pride, every well-done and every thank you. You deserve everything and more Lord Jesus. Thank you for your preservation and your angels. Glory, honour and majesty be unto the Keeper of life... Amen!
