Today is ***coDay 🚭

More than 7 million people die from to***co use every year and it kills up to half of users who do not quit.

The ugly truth: To***co and ni****ne companies deliberately design their products to hook you.

Appealing flavours and cooling agents mask the harshness of ni****ne, so you inhale more and get addicted faster.

But the grip of addiction can be broken. And the benefits are felt almost immediately:
⏱️ In 20 minutes, your heart rate drops
🫁 2–12 weeks, your lung function improves
❤️ In 1 year, heart disease risk is cut in half Take the next step, break the addiction.

When it comes to to***co, quitters are winners! 🏆

You can do everything right in patient care and still cause harm if you miss one critical step: hand hygiene. 🧼

⚠️ Health care-associated infections remain one of the most common risks in clinical settings.

💡 Many of these infections are preventable — clean your hands at the right moments, every time.

👉 WHO's 5 moments for hand hygiene:
1️⃣ Before touching a patient
2️⃣ Before clean/aseptic procedures
3️⃣ After body fluid exposure risk
4️⃣ After touching a patient
5️⃣ After touching patient surroundings

❗ Remember: gloves do not replace hand hygiene.

Every clean pair of hands protects both your patient and you. 🛡️

Dear pregnant women,

Do not ignore any bleeding during pregnancy, especially when it is associated with abdominal pain.

At the later stage of pregnancy, about 1 litre of blood runs through the womb every minute. The total blood volume in the body is around 7 litres — any active bleeding from the uterus could result in dęath under 10 minutes!

Also note that not all bleeding is externally visible. Some bleeding may be concealed, accumulating inside the uterus and a high risk of mortality.

Please, go to the hospital at any sight of bleeding. It could be harmless, but it could also be fatal. Let the doctors make the judgment call!

Wishing all pregnant women safe delivery!

Did you know?

I first wrote WHOLESOME MOTHERHOOD in Yorùbá language in 2013!

100% handwritten with all the àmì (intonation marks) 😅

But I was discouraged from publishing it because I realized most people can't read Yorùbá.

Even those who read it are not the target audience for my book.

So, I abandoned the whole idea for 7 years!

COVID happened, and I thought "hmmm, I can't afford to d!e without publishing this book".

I took my time and translated it to English language. In 2021, the book was finally launched and sold hundreds of copies in Nigeria and 10 other countries.

Women's health literacy shouldn't be a secret. It should be available and accessible to all women.

Medical knowledge keeps evolving. That's why I have launched a new revised version of this book.

So tell me, why haven't you ordered a copy for yourself or someone who might benefit from it?
