More support for the presidential candidate of the Labour party.

The Middle Belt/ Southern caucus notes that supporting the Labour Party's presidential flag bearer surpasses stereotypes and cuts across party lines.

Obi is said to have a strong track record when compared to other presidential candidates.
The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Monday, December 19, received the support of members of the Middle Belt/Southern caucus in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The group while declaring support for the LP's presidential candidate said its members have resolved to deliver all votes for Obi on the platform of the Labour Party.

Speaking on the support for Obi, the chairman of the group, Olisa Uzoewulum, the group's decision is driven by the desire for a positive change in the national leadership of the country.
Uzoewulum also said that the group has adopted Anthony Ezekwugo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as its candidate to represent the FCT in the Senate.

Prof. Abiodun Salawu, Director of Research Entity: Indigenous Living in Africa, Faculty of Humanities, North West University, South Africa, has adviced African leaders to embrace the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to facilitate socio-economic development in Africa in order to overcome the current economic challenges the continent is exposed to.


He, however, dispelled the misconception that the adoption of AI to enhance all the sectors of the economy in Africa would increase unemployment, citing America, China and European countries as countries where AI has been ceaselessly used to boost their socio-economic development.
