Osun State Government has announced a new Chancellor for our dear state university, UNIOSUN

She's Dr Victoria Adunola Samson, CEO of BOVAS Petrol Stations, an household name in the fuel station business in Nigeria.

Her appointment comes after the beautiful and impactful 10-year tenure of Mama Famfa Oil, Folorunso Alakija, who blessed the state in ways one cannot easily quantify, even though she is not from Osun State.

Now, she leaves behind big shoes for 76-year-old Mama BOVAS to fill. I hope she can do even more.

These are some of the ways we can use wealth, knowledge, and resources to bless humanity. Schools are great places to touch lives because that is where future giants are nurtured.

Dr Victoria Adunola Samson started BOVAS in 1980, when it began operations as an indigenous independent petroleum marketing company. In 1991, BOVAS Group opened its first service station in Osogbo, Osun State. Today, the company has more than 200 stations across Nigeria.

She is from Iree town in Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State.

I pray for long life and blessings, and I hope she is able to contribute more to the growth of our dear university as the new Chancellor.
