Why I Started Sewing

I didn’t start sewing because it looked fancy or because I had a big dream of owning a fashion brand.

I started because I needed money.
At that time, I was thinking about how to support myself and help my family. I needed something practical. Something I could learn with my hands and use to earn.

Sewing was what I had access to. So I decided to learn it seriously.

The beginning was not sweet.
I spoiled fabrics I had paid for with my hard-earned money.
Some clothes didn’t fit customers well.
Sometimes I had to loosen and resew outfits late into the night.

There were days I felt embarrassed and frustrated but quitting was not an option for me.

I kept practicing. I kept learning. I kept improving little by little.
And slowly, sewing stopped being just “something I’m trying.” It became something I was good at.

Something that brought income. Something that built my confidence.

Today, when I look back, I’m grateful I didn’t give up during those hard days.
