*On a sad Note*
I wish to announce the death of one of our active volunteer in person of Äbubakar Abba (Jazi) who died yesterday in ghastly motor accident on his way to Kano.
He died together with his sister (a married woman) together with many other passengers onboard. He was friendly hardworking and jovial.
His funeral prayers will take place today Sunday 26/10/205 by 11:00am at Shagon goro Jumu'a Masjid.
May his soul rest in jannatul Firdausi 🤲

Gombe Governor Constitutes Committees On Open Governance Partnership, Civil Society Organizations
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has approved the constitution of 2 key committees.
The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi who conveyed the Governor's approval, said the development is in line with Governor Inuwa's commitment to furthering collaborative efforts towards open governance and targeted developmental programmes in Gombe State.
The committees are as follows:
1. The Open Governance Partnership (OGP) State Steering Committee (SSC), with the Secretary to the State Government as Co-Chairman.
The OGP State Steering Committee is constituted to promote transparent governance and foster synergy among government departments, etc.
Members of the SSC include Head of Civil Service, Commissioners of Finance and Economic Development, Information, Culture and Ethical Orientation, Education, Women Affairs & Social Development, Budget & Economic Planning, and Justice as well as a representative of the State House of Assembly, the Permanent Secretary Bureau for Public Procurement abd the Senior Special Assistant ( Budget Planning and Development Partners Coordination) who will serve as Secretary.
2. Civil Society Organizations Committee
The Civil Society Organizations committee is set up to foster community engagement and ensure the implementation of inclusive policies.
Members include the Chairmen of the Association of Non-Governmental Associations Gombe State, Foundation for Youth Awakening and Empowerment, Jewel Health Initiative, Wilden Care Foundation, People Empowerment Initiative, Advocacy Centre for Development (AC4D), Voice of Hopes, Jewel Care Foundation, Newage Initiative for Youth, and Dandalin Matasa.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya expects members of the committees to serve as catalysts for progressive change, leverage their diverse expertise and collective experience to enhance the effectiveness of service delivery in Gombe State.
All the appointments are with immediate effect.
