The tongue is one of the most used and most powerful parts of human body.it is used as a sense organ of taste.it can also breed unquenchable fire of hate or hatred for people.every person must learn to put his/her tongue into proper use that will ensure that he doesn't destroy him/her.so now let me show you the mystery behind the functional image of the tongue.
Let look at james 3:10 i belive we all know what it says so there are a quite a number of terrifying functional image of a human tongue that we can see.let attempt to address them one after the other.
A. Tongue as fire: it has the capacity to produce or induce destructive actions.Every war is started by wrong usage of tongue.Peace or ceasefire is also brokered by the use of tongue.it can start war and also bring it to cease.

B. Tongue as a world of iniquity: the mark of perfection,according to james 3:2,is the right use of tongue.words have destructive is the propeller of words from human mouth.
C. Tongue as being unruly evil: the tongue is the exposer of the evil intent of the heart.the heart of an unregenerated man is decietful and evil.every word that an unregenerated person speaks reveals the evil of his heart.
D. Tongue-full of deadly poison: when a man's heart is not filled with the word of God to overflowing,he misbehaves.
