As a storyteller (photographer) who loves and tells authentic, raw, and everyday life stories, children are very dear to my heart and are at the center of the incredible work I do with my camera 📸. 😊
Every time I meet them, it's love at first sight. Oh yes, it is! If it's not, how do you explain the freedom and connection in these images?

Mr. Roman (The Mechanic with a Kind Heart)
On a recent trip to Nsukka with my friend, we were referred to a workshop to fix a broken car radio. Unfortunately, the shop was closed due to the sit-at-home crisis in Enugu State.
Just as we were about to leave, Mr. Roman appeared a humble, skilled mechanic who assured us he knew someone who could help. That small gesture led to something greater.
What started as a simple radio repair became a full car check-up. Mr. Roman had a sharp eye for detail. He noticed every fault, from the broken door to the worn-out parts, and with steady hands began to restore what was failing. He worked not just as a mechanic, but as a problem-solver fixing piece by piece with dedication and care.
As I photographed him, I noticed he was shy at first, unsure why I wanted to document him. I smiled and told him:
“I love capturing men like you solving problems, working hard, and showing resilience in quiet ways.”
Because to me, Mr. Roman is more than a mechanic. He is a father working tirelessly to provide for his family. His honesty, his kindness, and his willingness to help spoke louder than any tools in his hand.
When the rain came, he kept working until the car was fixed. And when asked about his bill, he simply said:
“Give me whatever you feel is good to appreciate my work.”
That humility struck me deeply. His work deserved far more than what he asked for.
Before leaving, I asked him to pose for a portrait. I told him, “One day, this picture may win an award by God’s grace and when it does, I will find you to share the news.
For me, photographing Mr. Roman was more than capturing an image it was honouring De Ordinary People, a man whose life reflects dedication, resilience, and quiet heroism.

The Story of Mr. Bosco, The Trusted Hands of Nsukka
On a recent visit to Nsukka (UNN, to be precise), I was in the company of a friend I deeply respect someone who made that journey both memorable and meaningful. As a photographer and storyteller, it’s one of those moments I’ll always carry in my creative memory.
We were referred to Mr. Bosco by a member of his community when we needed help fixing the car radio. The moment we stepped into his shop, I was instantly transported a deep, nostalgic feeling washed over me as I took in the sight of his workspace. Old electronics of all shapes and sizes lined the walls. It felt like walking into a time capsule, a living archive of craftsmanship and memory.
While my friend conversed with him about the radio, I found myself quietly exploring eyes scanning every device like I was reading the biography of a man through the tools he’s worked with. And trust me, I have a thing for electronics. But that’s a story for another day. 😊
Every frame I captured spoke volumes about Mr. Bosco about how long he’s been serving his community as a skilled electronic fixer, and how deeply he is respected. Young men hanging around the shop confirmed it with pride:
“If Mr. Bosco can’t fix it, just buy a new one.”
That line struck me.
Because I am someone who deeply honors those who are passionate, skilled, and consistent in what they do no matter the industry, no matter the status.
Meeting Mr. Bosco was a privilege.
Photographing him and his sacred space of wires, tools, and memory — even more so.
May we continue to find and celebrate the ordinary people who keep our communities alive with quiet brilliance.

Last Saturday was another beautiful day to encounter an incredibly ordinary man, a vulcanizer. I found him worthy enough and incredibly brave to document his daily job as a skilled vulcanizer.
When I took the first shot, he smiled and wanted to hide his face. I smiled too, and we both laughed about it. I said to him, 'Well done.'

The festive season is over.
Reality hits back as we gradually adjust our lives back to the normal routine of hustle. This is a woman back to business as usual.
She was so kind to me; firstly, she said she loved my dreadlocks and asked how many years old they were. I replied, "2 years plus now." She smiled and said she is also on dreadlocks, just that she braided them with attachments.
We laughed together as I left her shop.
New market, Enugu State.
