ATTENTION......
Greatest lions and lionesses......Good pm all.
We are happy to inform us that after dogged struggle with the EEDC, they have promised not to disappoint us on light issues again. We hereby thank every student for acting as a unionist and assisting the SUG in voicing out our grievances.
On Water: we wish to inform us that the speed of the ongoing water project by our VC have just been boosted and we hoping to be receiving steady free pipe born water soon. We also wish to inform student about the Operation reduce scarcity of water on UNEC campus by the SUG PRO (Rotr. Uwaezuoke Chisom) in collaboration with SUG REVITALIZATION TEAM. The first phase of the movement has begun as they will be giving us free water every week.
SUG ELECTION: we advice every interested student to visit our website and pick the form for free,print, fill and submit on or before 18th march 2016.
Addendum to the Guideline:
-Candidates for these elections are those who posses Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of not less than 3.5 or above in the session immediately preceding the election.
-A student who c\won an election and is discovered that he/she did not possess the minimum CGPA to contest the election will, without more, delay stands removed from the office.
-Where the situation in two above occurs, the next candidate with the highest votes cast will be sworn in.
-Forth year students of the Faculties of Engineering, Agriculture and other departments involved in SIWES programme are not qualified to run because of the SIWES programme.
-Candidates should attach original copy of non-membership of cult’s Affidavit.
-Students are required to go to their various Departments/Hall of Residence to register as voters for the Students’ Union Election.
-Candidates should attach photocopies of the current session’s online receipts for consolidated fees and receipt for the other years but will be required to provide original of the online receipt for screening.
-Candidates are also required to attach photocopies of Online Course Registration for the current session, endorsed by the academic adviser.
-Any candidate that engages in violent campaign will be disqualified;
-Any candidate who was disqualified for any reason connected with criminal activity of cult in a previous election will not be eligible to contest.
-Candidates who deface the Campus Environment and Walls with posters, Graffiti and paintings instead of using the approved Notice Boards would be penalized as would be determined by the committee;
-Any candidate who displays campaign posters before the authorized date would be penalized as may be determined by the committee.
We wish you all save journey to your respective destinations and God's grace in your just concluded examinations, also success to those still writing.

Latest info. update....
We sincerely apologise to all as regards the state of things on campus especially, accommodation and portal issues.
We succeeded in securing a temporal accommodation for all students whom are stranded on campus.
All stranded male students should move to IJ hostel for their temporal accommodation.
All female students whom are having problems with logging into hostels or can not assess the school portal for payment should go to student affairs for temporal accommodation.
All students who have paid their fees and are having any problem whatsoever on the portal, should not on any account make a second payment. We are sorry for those who are affected by the misinformation to pay the second time and are victim.
For those students that have problems with their print out RRR number or they printed and their slip was blank should submit their names and registration number at the ICT department close to medical centre after which they should proceed to the Students affairs department for a temporal accommodation.
For medical students moving to Nnamdi azikiwe hostel, a temporal accommodation have been provide for those that their names will be shortlisted tomorrow on the list.
Note that the temporal accommodation will last for one week and nobody should make any payment twice.....

To all medical students in school!!
It pleases me to let us know that the PRESIDENT of the union, (Comr.Ilogebe Chidi) has given me orders to tell all of you to remain calm and peaceful as regards the notice that went viral this evening from the student affairs department.

In his words; " Mr. PRO, please tell the students that on no account should they leave the hostels till we have asked them to do so. We are not animals that should be pushed around. 24hrs evacuation notice is so unlike it"

On this note, please kindly disregard the notice from the students affairs department. But we should gear up for further directives by Monday from the president. Albeit, let's not be in a haste to forget that this is a new session and there is bound to be reshuffling. The males should be ready to vacate the female hostels..

This is but, a temporary solution. The SUG is poised to serve you better. God bless you.

My fellow lions and lionesses! greetings to you all. with a heart full of gratitude and humility in service. I present to you all information that demands us attention....
We still awaits the reply of our father, the VC ( Prof. Ozumba) as regards payment of school fees and other fees payment, but for now,Acceptance Fee Payment has been activated…..
The payment of acceptance fees for the freshmen is now activated! Consequently all new students can go ahead and pay their acceptance fees. Below is the process flow for the new students to get on with their new academic experience:

Print out your name from the admission list published on the Website.
Verify your account on the portal unn.edu.ng
Change your password.
Complete and submit your profile on the portal.
Generate payment invoice for acceptance fee
Proceed to the bank to pay the acceptance fee
Proceed back to the portal and print your acceptance fee receipt and acceptance letter
Generate payment invoice for other fees – (school fees, accommodation fees, laptop fees (for first years), etc.)
Proceed to the bank to pay the fees at the bank
Proceed back to the portal and print your receipts
Proceed to Ekpo Ref for clearance by Admissions Office/Faculty officer with all relevant receipts and Certificates
Get assigned with Matriculation number by the Faculty Officer
Do your Biometric capturing also at Ekpo Ref.
Collect your Laptop from ICT Hardware Team
Log on to your profile and register your Courses online
Get your Student Identity card from ICT at Obieri Computing Centre
Keep copies of all your printouts from the website and the portal for future references

Great lions and lionesses.... I greet u all. I present to you latest campus gist as duty demands.......
We plead on our fellow students whom are in the hostels and are preparing for their professional exams at hostels to forgive us for the current status of light in school. We want you to know that the SUG is working as regards to that on our behalf for the light to get back to normal status quo( that is for the PHCN light to be restored).
Please our school resumption date still remains 29th oct. as at this moment for freshmen and 5th nov for old student.
For the school fees and other fees payments, all should pause and exercise some patience for now as we are waiting to hear from our father the Vice chancellor( professor Ozumba)....
We wish all the nursing and medical laboratory science students writing their professional exams success..."Remember that is not of he that runneth but of he that showeth mercy" May the lord be your strenght.

Please be reminded that the shopping form sale and application started yesterday(21-09-2015) and will end next week Monday(28-09-2015).
Finally the Direct entry application and exam date has been fixed. It is as follows 2015/2016 SCREENING EXERCISE FOR DIRECT ENTRY
ADMISSION:
Candidates for Direct Entry Admission into the
University of Nigeria, Nsukka who registered with
Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
are invited for screening. The Computer Based Test (CBT) screening will be
conducted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Library (Digital
Laboratory) University of Nigeria, Nsukka Campus;
as follows:
- DATE: 29th September, 2015
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m - .FACULTIES:
Dentistry, Health Sciences & Technology, Medicine &
Surgery, Pharmaceutical Sciences & Veterinary
Medicine.
- Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
FACULTIES: Arts, Business Administration, Law and Social Sciences.
- Time – 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
FACULTIES: Agriculture, Biological Sciences ,
Education, Engineering, Environmental Studies and
Physical Sciences.
Online Registration: a. Eligible candidates are requested to pay a
processing fee of three thousand naira (N3,000.00)
only through certified Bank Draft payable to the
University of Nigeria, Nsukka to be submitted on
the day of the exam.
b. Candidates should access and complete the University of Nigeria 2015/2016 Direct Entry CBT
screening form online at unn.edu.ng . The Bank
Draft number should be reflected on the online
form.
c. Online registration commences on Monday 21st
September, 2015 and ends on Monday 28th September, 2015. Those who fail to register within
the stipulated period will not be screened during
the exercise.
All candidates are required to bring the following
during the screening exercise:
- A copy of ONLINE form duly completed - 2015/2016 JAMB registration slip.
- N3,000.00 certified Bank Draft.
- No GSM handset, calculator or any other
extraneous materials should be brought into the
Screening Hall.
Visually Impaired Candidates are not invited to the screening exercise, but they should register online.

University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) ICT EmPower Programme
In line with the vision of the current Administration to re-position the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in terms of ICT and Technological Advancement, every successful candidate offered admission for the 2015/2016 academic session will be expected to own a UNN compliant laptop which will be embedded in their first year school fees. This supports the University Administration policy towards migration to a fully computerized Learning Management System that provides optimum learning experience for all its students. Successful candidates in the last concluded Post UTME screening who will be offered admission are expected to continuously monitor the UNN website (website-www.unn.edu.ng) for updated school fees schedule that reflect these changes.
