Depression is not a condition that has one specific cause. It can happen for many different reasons and have many triggers. Usually, depression doesn’t work quickly or suddenly. Instead, it develops over long periods of time. It can occur at any age anf affects anyone.

- Health problems
- Individual have experienced trauma, stress, or a life-changing events
- have a physical illness, such as cancer
- Using certain medications or other substances
The following tips may help people who have these risk factors or who are living with depression to manage or avoid symptoms.
1. Avoid stress
2. Exercise
3. Diet
4. Sleep very well
5. Avoid excessive alcohol and unprescribed medications
6. Avoid common triggers
7. Psychotherapy
