Chef vs Waiter – A Funny Restaurant Story 🍽️😂
Customer: “Who earns more?”
Waiter: Smiles while counting tips. 💵
Chef: Smiles while counting the number of tickets still coming into the kitchen. 🔥
The waiter walks 10,000 steps serving guests and goes home with a pocket full of tips.
The chef stands in front of a 45°C kitchen, gets yelled at by the printer, burns two fingers, tastes soup 20 times, and goes home with… half an onion in his pocket. 🧅😂
Waiter: “Table 5 said the steak is overcooked.”
Chef: “Tell Table 5 to come cook the next one!” 🤣
At the end of the day, the waiter and chef meet outside the restaurant.
Waiter: “How was your shift?”
Chef: “I survived. That’s enough for today.”
Different uniforms, different battles, but one mission—making the guests happy.
Respect the waiter for the smile, respect the chef for the sweat… and don’t forget to feed the chef before asking, ‘Is my food ready?’ 👨🍳😂

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TABLE SALT AND SEA SALT
Although both table salt and sea salt are mainly made of sodium chloride (NaCl), they differ in their source, processing, texture, and mineral content.
1. Table Salt
What Is Table Salt?
Table salt is the common salt used in most homes for cooking and seasoning food. They are the regular salt we used here in Nigeria to cook.
Where Is Table Salt Gotten From?
Table salt is usually obtained from underground salt deposits. These deposits were formed millions of years ago when ancient seas and oceans dried up, leaving large layers of salt behind. The salt is mined from the ground and then refined to remove impurities and most naturally occurring minerals.
Characteristics of Table Salt
* Fine and uniform crystals.
* Highly refined and purified.
* Usually fortified with iodine.
* Contains anti-caking agents to prevent clumping.
* Dissolves quickly in food and liquids.
2. Sea Salt
What Is Sea Salt?
Sea salt is salt produced by evaporating seawater.
Where Is Sea Salt Gotten From?
Sea salt is obtained directly from oceans, seas, or saltwater lakes. Seawater is collected in shallow ponds and allowed to evaporate naturally through the heat of the sun and the action of the wind. Once the water evaporates, salt crystals remain and are harvested.
Characteristics of Sea Salt
* Less processed than table salt.
* Usually has larger crystals.
* Retains small amounts of natural minerals.
* Can have a slightly different taste depending on its source.
* Available in coarse, fine, or flaky forms.
Differences Between Table Salt and Sea Salt
1. Source
* Table salt comes from underground salt mines.
* Sea salt comes directly from evaporated seawater.
2. Processing
* Table salt undergoes extensive refining.
* Sea salt is generally less processed.
3. Crystal Size
* Table salt has fine, uniform crystals.
* Sea salt often has larger and coarser crystals.
4. Iodine Content
* Table salt is commonly fortified with iodine.
* Sea salt usually contains little or no added iodine.
5. Mineral Content
* Most minerals are removed from table salt during refining.
* Sea salt retains small amounts of natural minerals such as magnesium, calcium, and potassium.
6. Taste
* Table salt has a straightforward salty taste.
* Sea salt may have a more complex flavour because of its mineral content.
