Why do we say 'Everyone is' instead of 'Everyone are'
'Everyone' is an indefinite pronoun meaning the same as “everybody.” It is treated as a singular pronoun, so it is always used with a singular verb form.
Generally, all the words that end with -one, -body, or -thing will be treated as a singular. Everyone is, Everybody is, Everything is.
NOTE:& “Everyone” is only used to refer to people, not things.
Sentence Example: Everyone is invited to the wedding.

COMMUNICATE RIGHTLY WITHOUT INSULTING.
You see that thing that a parent will discipline a child and the another parent comes to scold the disciplinarian parent in the presence of the child and even begin to argue in the child's presence? Let that bad character STOP!
Your child will pick those ill-fated words you throw at your spouse and begin to use them. Gradually, vocabularies of insults will start dominating their discourse with their interlocutors at the slightest provocation.
In the first place, why do you feel it's right to scold your spouse in the presence of your child? No be juju be that? Children wey dey quick learn bad things? No na!
And why do some people find it SO EASY to use abusive words?
Personally I feel such people 👈 are very bad communicators because one can actually communicate their thoughts or clear a misconception without insulting anyone no matter how hurt they are.
Growing up, I don't think I heard any form of abusive word at home, it was outrightly prohibited!, 'You dey craze', (no be this joke one wey we dey talk now o). 'You're very stupid', 'God punish you', 'It can never be well with you', 'you're a pig', 'you're a very big fool.' To mention but a few...
Some people have bagged double degrees in the use of insulting words and oh, how I love to keep such people at arm's length!
Someone does something bad to you, why are insulting them?!🤷
Can't you just talk things out without necessarily using abusive words?
Come on, I know what it means to be hurt, but I don't understand the rationale of clapping back with insults!
Typing this is already too annoying!
Why do you insult people?!
Does it hurt that much? Discuss it amicably! If the person does not have the fortitude to be talked to amicably, let them be! Don't insult them! Stop grooming bad vocabularies.
Your children will learn such from you. Guess what? The mini version of you will do better than you! Do we not pray that our children should be better than us? 🤷
In a world where people are building vocabularies of various registers for effective communication, may yours not be insulting!😤

GOD DOES NOT NEED YOUR VALIDATION BEFORE DOING YOU GOOD.
A few steps into my compound this day after our visit to the Infant Home Orphanage, a child in my street, (Victory) called out, "Auntie Kakong!" Her voice dropped like an aluminum plate on a cemented floor.
"Yes, my darling." I responded. Of course, every child around me is my darling and they are all used to me calling them so.
Engrossed in my thoughts, I did not look her way but she was adamant and really wanted to attract my attention.
"Aunty Ka...kong!" She screamed even harder until she earned what she deserved. I turned to know the reason for her persistence. "Take." She stretched out her hand towards me as I drew nearer.
BEHOLD! It was a freshly cut hibiscus flower.
She handed it over to me so mindfully without me having to request for it.
Without me having to say what I intend to do with it.
Without her having to explain it's importance to me.
Without me having to explain how much ornamental plants mean to me
It was her conviction that I will love it and so she gave it to me at the right time.
Brethren, this is the exact thing God does for us all the time!
