This is the most difficult beaded piece I've ever worked on… and I almost gave up. There were moments I stared at it in frustration, questioning my skill, my patience, and even my passion. It felt like no matter how much effort I put in, it just wasn’t coming together the way I had imagined. I wanted to quit, more than once, but I remembered that it was for a bride who happens to be my friend. Something in me refused to let all that effort go to waste. So I kept going—slowly, imperfectly, sometimes tired, sometimes discouraged… but still moving. And now, looking at it, I realize something deeper than just the finished work… Growth doesn’t always look beautiful in the process. Progress doesn’t always feel rewarding in the moment. And passion will be tested in ways that make you want to walk away. But the difference between almost and done… is persistence. This piece stretched me. It humbled me. It taught me patience, discipline, and the power of not quitting on something just because it’s hard. So if you’re on the verge of giving up on something you started, this is your sign—pause if you must, but don’t quit. Because one day, you’ll look at it and realize… the struggle was part of the masterpiece.

I went to a makeup class yesterday, expecting to just learn, observe, and go home quietly, but life had other plans for me. A ballot was cast for model of the day, and everyone pointed at me; who was I to decline? Before I could say jack, my boss called me forward and decided to use my face for an event makeup tutorial - no warning, no time to prepare, just a moment that demanded I step out of my comfort zone and sit in the spotlight. And in that moment, I realized something powerful: sometimes, you walk into a room thinking you're just there to watch, but you're actually the one meant to be seen. Sometimes, the opportunity you didn't plan for is the one that reveals your confidence, your beauty, and your readiness. As the brush touched my face and the transformation unfolded, it wasn't just about makeup; it was about growth, embracing the unexpected, trusting the process, and allowing yourself to shine even when you didn't see it coming. Today reminded me that you don't always have to feel ready to be chosen; you just have to be willing. So, if life ever calls you forward without notice, don't shrink - sit in that chair, own that moment, and let yourself be seen. Because you might walk in as a student and walk out as a model.
