Hope this was helpful...

In the past 15 hours, you may have spent more than 30 seconds proving that you are human and not a robot.

Why does this happen?
It is believed that over 40% of all Internet traffic is comprised of bot traffic, and a significant portion of that is malicious bots. Because of this, so many organizations are looking for ways to manage the bot traffic coming to their sites. - Cloudflare

Now you know this is just a system put in place to check your authenticity, how does the internet determine whether you are a robot or not after you have checked the box?

Note that checking the box is NOT what determines whether you are a Robot or not.
It is what happens before you click it that matters; we will explain.

When you select that checkbox, the website gives Google a ton of data.
This data may include your cursor movement as you prepare to mark that option (apparently, humans move their cursors more erratically than computers do), your cookies, and the history of your device.

That data is used by Google to estimate your likelihood of being a person or a robot. The website receives this score from Google and, if it is good enough, will allow you access.

In a nutshell, by selecting "I'm not a robot," you allow Google to examine your online activities to determine whether or not you are a human.
