She-AlertCare Foundation participated in a one-day
consultative meeting as part of the technical working group (TWG) on menstrual hygiene in Bauchi State.
The meeting was organized by Youth Adolescent Health Initiative and Counselling YAHIC with the major purpose of "Establishment of Pad Banks in schools" to provide accessible menstrual products and improve the wellbeing, education, and dignity of adolescents and young women in Bauchi State.
The platform brought together key stakeholders to deliberate and review existing interventions, identifying gaps, developing and implementing workable programmes around menstrual hygiene.
Collectively, She-Alert Care Foundation is committed to enhancing quality livelihood and access to menstrual hygiene.

World Sickle Cell Day 2026!
Today, She-AlertCare Foundation celebrates the strength, resilience, and courage of every sickle cell warrior and survivor.
We honor individuals living with sickle cell disease who continue to overcome challenges, inspire hope, and demonstrate extraordinary determination each day.
As we raise awareness, we also celebrate the survivors whose lives are a testament to resilience and hope. Collectively, we can build a more informed, supportive, and inclusive society for all.

Keeping the momentum alive in commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026, She-AlertCare Foundation participated in a stakeholders' engagement organized by the Bauchi State Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development at Double 4 Event Centre, Bauchi.
The event brought together development partners, civil society organizations, adolescent students, and government agencies to promote menstrual health and hygiene awareness, reduce stigma surrounding menstruation, and support the dignity, well-being, and empowerment of women and girls.
A panel discussion highlighted the challenges faced by adolescent girls during menstruation, including limited access to menstrual hygiene products, inadequate sanitation facilities, misinformation, and persistent social stigma. Participants explored practical solutions and collaborative approaches to creating a more supportive and period-friendly environment where every girl can manage her menstruation safely, confidently, and with dignity.
Together, we continue to advocate for a world where menstruation is no barrier to education, health, or opportunity.

Today, She-AlertCare Foundation proudly joined the Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development, Bauchi State, and other stakeholders in commemorating World Menstrual Hygiene Day through a road walk from Wunti Market Flyover to the State Secretariat.
Together, we raised our voices for menstrual dignity, and a future where every girl and woman can manage her period safely and confidently.

She-AlertCare Foundation actively participated in a Technical Workshop organized by Alheri-Ys Foundation Azurfa Women and Youth Development Initiative (AWOYDI), ImiGan Hope Empowerment Initiative (IHEI).
The workshop focused on developing a comprehensive implementation framework to strengthen the Child Protection Law and the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Law in Bauchi State.
Bringing together civil society organizations, security agencies, government ministries, community leaders, and religious leaders, the meeting delivered practical strategies to reinforce these laws and better protect the dignity and rights of children and vulnerable persons.
Together, we can make these laws work effectively for every child and every person in Bauchi State!

Commemorating World Blood Donor Day 2026!
She-AlertCare Foundation in conjunction with esteemed partners; Alheri-Ys Foundation, Bauchi State Medical Students Association (BAMSA) ATBU Chapter and Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN) Bauchi successfully organized a blood donation exercise at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi.
The event brought together voluntary blood donors whose selfless acts of kindness continue to save lives and inspire hope within our communities.
Highlights of the day included; an educational session on blood transfusion and voluntary blood donation, goodwill remarks from She-Alert Care Foundation and partner organizations, and valuable contributions from medical practitioners who emphasized the importance of regular voluntary blood donation.
In attendance were media representatives from BATV, healthcare professionals from ATBUTH, staffs and volunteers from partner organizations, and members of the public, all united in the shared mission of giving hope through blood donation.
We sincerely appreciate every donor and stakeholder who contributed to the success of this initiative.

BLOOD DONATION DRIVE 2026
As She-AlertCare Foundation in partnership with Alheri-Ys Foundation Bauchi State Medical Students' Association (ATBU Chapter), and the Medical Women's Association of Nigeria (Bauchi Chapter), commemorates World Blood Donor Day 2026, we invite the general public and all concerned stakeholders to join us for a voluntary blood donation exercise scheduled for;

Venue: Haematology Department, Near Radiology Complex, ATBUTH, Bauchi
Note: Free screening for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B & C, and Syphilis (VDRL) will be provided for all voluntary blood donors, refreshments and lectures on blood transfusion.

The second planning meeting ahead of the Blood Donation Drive 2026 was a productive and strategic engagement.
She-AlertCare Foundation in collaboration with Alheri-Ys Foundation and partners including the Bauchi State Medical Students' Association (BAMSA) ATBU Chapter and the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN) Bauchi Chapter, held an implementation and round up meeting in preparation for the World Blood Donor Day outreach scheduled for Saturday, 13th June 2026, at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi.
The initiative aims to support sickle cell and cancer patients through voluntary blood donation. We remain committed to strengthening partnerships, promoting quality healthcare services, and fostering a healthier society for all.

Taking further action towards the successful realization of the Blood Donation Drive 2026, She-AlertCare Foundation in partnership with Alheri-Ys Foundation and Bauchi State Medical Students Association (ATBU) paid an advocacy visit to the Haematology and Blood Transfusion Unit of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, where the team met with the Head of Department (HOD) of the Blood Bank.
The department warmly received the team and commended the initiative as a timely and impactful humanitarian effort aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation and saving lives. Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration, with the hospital assuring the team of its technical support, while emphasizing the importance of public mobilization and participation in the upcoming blood donation exercise.
This advocacy visit further reinforces the shared commitment of all partners to improving access to safe and adequate blood supplies and fostering a culture of voluntary blood donation, particularly for vulnerable groups such as individuals living with sickle cell disorder and cancer patients, who often depend on lifesaving blood transfusions.
