*IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE ONGOING CONTINUOUS VOTER REGISTRATION EXERCISE*

There is currently an unprecedented surge at INEC registration centres across states of the federation. However, most of the people who turn out at these centres have no need to visit the registration centres if they are well informed. We have therefore decided as part of the INEC sensitization exercise to provide the following critical information to the citizens about the ongoing exercise.

1. There is nothing like PVC validation. The PVC card does not expire and does not need revalidation. If you check your PVC, you will see that it does not bear any expiry date.

2. If you are a registered voter but want to ๐—ง๐—ฅ๐—”๐—ก๐—ฆ๐—™๐—˜๐—ฅ to another Polling Unit, you can do that online. You need not waste your time at INEC registration centre.

3. If you are a registered voter and wish to ๐—จ๐—ฃ๐——๐—”๐—ง๐—˜ your records, you can do it online. If it involves change of name (like for married women) then you are expected to upload evidence of change of name.

4. If you are a registered voter but your card is ๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ฆ๐—ง or ๐——๐—”๐— ๐—”๐—š๐—˜๐—— and needs ๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—ฃ๐—Ÿ๐—”๐—–๐—˜๐— ๐—˜๐—ก๐—ง, you can do it online.

5. Only two categories of people are actually required to visit INEC registration centres.
(a) ๐—ก๐—˜๐—ช ๐—ฉ๐—ข๐—ง๐—˜๐—ฅ๐˜€- Nigerians 18 years and above who have never registered before.
(b) Registered voters who have had issues with Accreditation in previous elections.
These are the two categories we need to capture their biometrics.

Pastor Adeboyeโ€™s RCCG Launches โ€˜Operation Show Your PVCโ€™ in provinces

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has directed all the Provinces of the church to launch โ€˜Operation show your Permanent Voterโ€™s Card (PVC)โ€™.
Pastor Adeboye gave the directive to encourage members of the church to participate in the forthcoming elections in Nigeria.

The letter released by Intercontinental Youth Pastor/PICR, Belemina Obunge, and addressed to pastors in charge of provinces, reads, โ€œWe refer to the above and wish to kindly inform you that we have received a directive from the Mission Authority to ensure a high level of sensitization in all our parishes on the need for all our members to get their Permanent Voterโ€™s Card (PVC) in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

โ€œBased on the above, Provincial Hqtrs and Mega Parishes are encouraged to use their parish as a centre for one or two days to facilitate their membersโ€™ & interested neighboursโ€™ registration considering the closeness of the deadline (June 30th, 2022) of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise.

โ€œProvinces will be required to send a summarized report of parishesโ€™ compliance with the above directive to the office of the undersigned, stating the number of adult members versus the number of PVCs counted.

โ€œThe report is expected on or before Tuesday 27th, June 2022 for onward compilation to the Mission Authority.โ€
