BEGINNER TAILOR TIPS🧵👇
1. Always test your machine tension on small fabric first. One tiny test can save your whole cloth.
2. Iron while sewing, not after everything. It makes your outfit look cleaner and better.
3. Keep a notebook for measurements. Your brain is not a memory card 🤌
4. Buy extra thread. Thread likes finishing exactly when you’re in a hurry.
5. Pin curved areas before sewing. Neckline and armhole especially. Cleaner finishing every time 👍
6. Avoid cutting fabric when tired 😭
7. Learn neat finishing before complicated styles. Clean work brings customers faster than overdesign.
8. Snap pictures of every outfit you sew.
Document every journey and growth.
9. Stop comparing yourself to big designers. Every big designer started as a beginner like you❤️.
