We have to share some important highlights about the *MICRO-ENVIRONMENT*.
Microbial Ecology as field that aim at studying that r/ship or interaction existing between microbes and other living organism.
For study of microbes or any other living organism, the possible place to find such microbes or organism(habitat), must be locate and study its by doing so clear study of such microbe or other organism can be possible.
Its therefore good to study the environment of every microbes, as the need of such microbes may arise, one can directly move ahead to the possible places determined to have the microbes.
Understanding the microbes habitat would help a microbial ecologist to:
i. Plan how to handle such microbes.
ii. Sourcing the microbes for beneficial use.
iii. Easy collection when ready for conducting a research.
Below are the possible habitat for which microbes can be found:
1. AQUATIC HABITAT.
The possible places under this include;
-fresh water. e.g rivers, streams, ponds and lakes.
-marine water. sea and oceans.
2. SOIL HABITAT.
beneath the soil, microbes can be found at different layers starting from horizon O, A, E, B, C, D and R. But the possible horizon of which dense mass of the microbes was observed to be found is B horizon its called the "rhizosphere" thats the region where absorption of water and minerals are taking place by plants.
3. ROCKS.
rocks as the habitat to locate microbes, their presence will determine under the following areas;
- Endolithic microbes.
- Exolithic microbes.
- Cave microbes.
4. MYSTERIES REMAINS.
microbes can also be found over mysteries remains.
5. EXTREME HABITAT.
microbes can be found at extreme habitat like extreme hot, cold, acid, alkali, and extreme dark habitat.
6. GROUND WATERS.
microbes can be found under ground waters.
Examples of possible microbes found in each of the above habitat are coming in the subsquent highlights.
