OKIGWE ZONE COMMENCES POLLING UNIT SENSITISATION TOUR AND INAUGURATION OF POLLING UNIT EXECUTIVES
The leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Okigwe Zone, wishes to inform and encourage all Ward Chairmen, Ward Executives, Leaders and other stakeholders that the Zone will officially commence its Polling Unit Sensitisation Tour and the subsequent inauguration of the 13-Man Polling Unit Executives tomorrow, Tuesday, 15th September 2026.
The exercise will take place simultaneously in selected wards across the Zone, as follows:
Isiala Mbano LGA — Umunkwo Ward
Onuimo LGA — Okwelle Ward 2
Ehime Mbano LGA — Ikpe Nsu Ward and Ihitte Nsu Ward
Ihitte Uboma LGA — Dimnaeze Ward and Umuihi Ward
Obowo LGA — Alike Ward and Amuzi Ward
The exercise is designed to strengthen our grassroots structures, sensitise Polling Unit executives on their responsibilities, improve coordination and deepen the participation of party members at the grassroots.
The Zonal Leadership therefore urges all Ward Chairmen, Ward Executives and other party leaders in the affected wards to give the exercise their maximum support and cooperation.
Ward Chairmen are particularly encouraged to:
Mobilise the relevant party leaders and members for the programme.
Ensure that the designated Polling Unit executives are present and properly coordinated.
Provide necessary assistance to the team carrying out the sensitisation.
Work closely with LGA and Zonal officials to ensure a smooth and successful exercise.
Encourage other ward leaders to participate actively and contribute towards the success of the programme.
The success of this initiative depends greatly on the commitment and cooperation of our leaders at the ward and grassroots levels. We must all take ownership of this exercise as an important step towards building a stronger, more organised and effective ADC structure in Okigwe Zone.
