PRIMARY ELECTIONS

It is no more news that Nigeria is currently stinking and corruption is trying to choke us all to death.

This is few weeks and months to elections and Parties are preparing their primaries.

I want to use this opportunity to state that in the interest of the country and for all who want to fight corruption, that the Direct Primary system should be adopted as against the delegates primaries which is always marred by massive vote buying.

I belong to APGA and wish to call on all to lend their voices to the call for the PARTY to adopt the direct primary system for the forth coming Primary Elections, so that no one will impose any candidate or some group of people will not buy off the process.

If we cant build hospitals, cant we even fix our society, so that we will fall sick less.

I have been a regular in various markets in Nigeria, I have lived in the North, East and West and the same standard is what we maintain. We are humans and we need a hygienic environment to be able to live a decent life.

As a new comer to Nigeria, If you take a stroll to any market in Nigeria to get groceries or local food stuffs, you will end up been nausea (this feeling of wanting to throw up).

From the Unhygienic ways the foodstuff are displayed to the glory of insects to the mostly muddy floors that makes sure you will need to wash your feet with Dettol or any other disinfectant to be able to fight of heavy germs.

The Fish, Meat, both dried and fresh ones are the worst of the sections to be at, you will think it is a feast of carcass, abandoned to the earth, but alas, that is where millions of households get their supply.

Every section of our market is dirty and needs serious government attention. We need to act fast, curbing this through laws and regulations is better than building any ill equipped medical centre that receive the service of medical personnel once a week.

Constituency project is not what we need, we need a stable environment that will benefit all first. A law and an enforcement unit from the Ministry of Trade, Wast management Authority and a Sanitation unit will help set a minimum standard and enforce same, so that we can save our people.

As i will always say, we need idea and not money to improve the lives of Nigerians.

No one needs to display any meat in an unhygienic place and no one needs to be sick from eating dirty food.

Below is a clear picture of two worlds, one is Nigeria and the other is somewhere in East Africa.

I am not here for myself, but here for the betterment of all of us, so that we can have a sane society to live in. If we cant afford healthcare, let us live a clean life to avoid getting sick unnecessarily.

Support what is good and not just anyone. Election is not for you to choose just anyone, but for you to choose someone who can affect the general well-being of the society. No amount of money given to you by a politician can buy you a sane life, what gives a sane life is a sane society, were with little or nothing, you live a life filled with dignity.

Thuggery and election violence leads to this.

Collecting money from politicians and swaying elections to their favour leads to this.

Selling your votes leads to this

Not asking the right questions leads to this.

looking for money through politics leads to this

Voting because of religion and tribe leads to this

Not asking your leaders or aspiring leaders the right questions leads to this.

I decided to run for election, to show the young people like me, that anyone can be anything, regardless of background and social status.

I am blessed, i am not a multi millionaire, i am a man of little means, but with great faith. If my people listen to me and want to use me to make the society better and vote me, i will deliver good governance, but if they don't, We will all enjoy whatever their choice is.

But I will not want to hear or see people end up like the guys on the other side, i will like people to stand with their loved ones like on the right side.

WASTE MANAGEMENT IN ANAMBRA STATE.

We are a State with a large number of residents, heavy commercial activities, social functions and a lively people.

One of the major issues faced by man in the recent times is the issue of waste management. While a man can generate tons of waste, it is the duty of the government to manage the waste.

We have consistently had a reoccurring case of Cholera and many other disease caused by poor hygiene. We have an executive that is trying its best to contain the waste generated by the large number of residents. Only few states in Nigeria today are taking the bull by the horn, though through executive actions mainly, but the sector has lacked heavy legislative input.

Why do we need legislation to tackle this issue of waste? We do need legislation, because while a law is enduring, subject to amendment, executive policies are easily discarded or framework for implementation lacking. Executive policy is also subject to change as governments change.

What do we need in Anambra of today as it regards waste management? We the people of Anambra needs to have the best practice of waste management in the world, we need to use best practice to manage both our Solid and Liquid waste.

In waste there is Jobs to be created when managed properly, In the management, we have resources to be put to valuable use and to recycle.

As a widely consulted Solicitor and consultant on many projects, I am armed with the contact or resource person who working together we will give a solid legislative contribution to a legislation to effectively and efficiently manage the waste genrated in Anambra State.

We can do these things without money, we dont need allocation r constituency allowance to create jobs and make progress, the private sector is waiting for us to give them the room to play.

If Anambra has rich men and you want to attract them home, provide a field for them to play at home. You dont tell a man to come and invest at home, when it is only hotels and residential houses that are available to invest in, people need to have variety of choices as to where to dump their money.

Okekearu Chukwuezugo Kingsley is my name, i am coming to help change the face of Anambra through legislations.

Udene kpoo nku, oburu Arusi. Okuko anghi eje ogu be Nkwor. The present crop of Nigerians between 20-38 should learn to sit on the table or be on the menu.

Sit on the table and determine what is on the menu or be the menu and become an option.

Everyone shouting youth empowerment and forming groups just for peanuts. If you have so much time to form groups, why not ask for better healthcare, better educational institutions, better labour law and compensation, improved and steady plan on total electrification of Nigeria.

You think you are woke, Atiku said his Secondary school students are better than many graduates in Nigeria and i will not lie, i have been to ABTI Secondary school, and i have interacted with graduates from various backgrounds and i am ashamed to agree with Waziri Adamawa.

Buhari said you sit back and want things to be given to you, there was noise. As much as i want to oppose him on that statement, deep inside me, i know he is saying the truth.

Everybody that can be looked up to as a mentor is saying same thing about us and we rather than prove them wrong are busy making their statements appear true.

Bill Gates complained of Human development, we laughed and abused Buhari, but after abusing him, what next? are we not the people Billy-Billy said needs to be developed? are we not the ones he said lacks development and are we not the ones he said are not been developed?

You come on social media or other forums and for as low as N1,0000 (One thousand Naira) you start writing eulogies about a man or a woman whom you know deep down in your mind will not be able to help the society, but your only belief is that they will steal money and remember you in the looting spree. Let me now make it open to you, if you are following anyone who knows he or she is useless to the society, the person will assume you are a fool and wont even use you for the looting. People have young bankers, real estate gurus, farmers, lawyers, accountants who are fully engaged and enlightened to use for money laundering and you assume because they allow you to write on their behalf, they will allow you mess them up in their loots. They will use better people and abandon you and you might repeat the cycle for few more elections before family challenges take you out and you become another failed fellow in the society.

We need to wake up and think, free money from politics never saves the society or makes it better, it rather destroys the society.
