We have been going through lots of dialogue and consultations with the school management over the years, yet realistic solutions to our payment haven't been met. We have been shouting and crying for help. We wanted to shout out again, but the new Acting Vice Chancellor (Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu) called in and asked us to hold on for him.
We had to halt the planned protest because of his appeal and we are going to hold him by his words. We are here using this medium to call on all Nigerians, The House of Representatives, The Senate, The Presidency, The Minister of Education, The Director general budget, The Accountant general of the Federation, Human rights lawyers and activists to come to our aid.
The current Ag VC has given us an appointment to see him next week on Tuesday (26/11/2024). We are keeping our fingers crossed ๐ค till we meet with him. We have been through a lot; 4 to 5 years without payment has been hell on earth. Our kids are out of school, and feeding and clothing are now luxuries, to mention but a few. ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ. Add your voice to our cry and help us get justice. Garri you've always been for the masses for centuries even as the rich and elite class despised you, preferring semovita & pounded yam to you.
We remember those sweet days how you used to come handy, responding to the compelling desire for food and with a blend of roasted fish/meat, or groundnuts or coconut or kernel or even raw native pepper from the garden, you give maximum satisfaction.
