JOLLOF RICE INGREDIENTS BREAKDOWN

1. Rice: It is the grain that is used to cook the jollof rice and it adds texture to the jollof rice.

2. Canned/sachet tomato paste: It is the star ingredient and base of the jollof rice. It adds thickness, sweetness and red colour to the jollof rice.

3. Tomatoes: It is the base of the jollof rice and, it adds thickness, sweetness and red colour to the jollof rice.

4. Fresh peppers: It is also the base of the jollof rice and, it adds thickness, sweetness, spiciness and red colour to the jollof rice.

5. Tatashe: It is also part of the base of the jollof rice and it adds thickness and red colour to the jollof rice.

6. Red bell pepper: It adds red colour and sweetness to the jollof rice.

7. Onion: It adds thickness, flavour and sweetness to the jollof rice.

8. Garlic and Ginger: They add flavour to the jollof rice.

9. Bay leaves: It adds flavour to the jollof rice.

10. Curry powder and thyme: They add flavour to the jollof rice.

11. Jollof rice local spice blend: It is the mixture of different spices that is used to add extra flavour to the jollof rice.

12. Vegetable oil: It is used for cooking the jollof rice stew and it adds flavour to the jollof rice.

13. Chicken, meat or fish: They are used to make the stock and also, serve alongside with the jollof rice.

14. Nutmeg: It is nutty spice that gives the jollof rice wonderful flavour.

MILK ICE CANDY FOR HOME CONSUMPTION.

πŸ‘‰4 liters of water
πŸ‘‰1 cup of corn flour
πŸ‘‰250 gram of sugar or as desired
πŸ‘‰Small condensed milk or one tin of full cream milk
πŸ‘‰Food coloring of your choice
πŸ‘‰1 tap vanilla flavor
πŸ‘‰Nylon

PROCEDURE

1. put a pot on a low to medium heat.

2. Pour in your water and let it boil

3. Pour your 1 cup of corn flour into a bowl and add in water that is enough to mix, just enough water to mix it together until it is watery

4. Afterwards, pour your watery corn flour into your boiling water add your sugar, and let it all boil together for about 10-20minuts

5. Once done, bring it down and let it cool

6. Once it is cool, add in your vanilla extract and condensed milk, add your desired food coloring into it(if you will be using multiple colors, separate your corn and sugar mixture which you had just boil into different bowls, each bowl for each food color)

7. Then begin to pour into your nylons and refrigerate until it's ice block.

CREAMY BANANA ICE CREAM πŸ˜‹

Ingredients:

3 bananas
200 g of sugar (1 cup)
500 ml of heavy cream (2 cups)

Preparation:

1. Place the banana on a baking tray. then take to oven at 150 Β°C for 30 minutes.

2. Place the baked bananas in a bowl and add sugar. Beat for 3 minutes then reserve.

3. In a container, place heavy cream and beat until a slightly firm consistency is obtained.

4. Add the crushed bananas and mix thoroughly.

5. Place in a container and freeze for 8 hours
