These might not come in order, but these are the 5 key points that differentiates an event planner and manager from just anyone who thinks they can plan an event.

Have you ever wondered why some vendors disappoints at the dying minutes? If you have an event planner planning your event, there are discussions and agreements that must be made prior to the event. You can't handle these discussions because, oftentimes you will be too busy and sometimes tensed, and impatient and intolerable.

There are alot to consider and reconsider during the planning process. The theme of the event, the mood, the kind of party and people, ambiance, entertainment. Some people want for instance a wedding that will be romantic, and serene. To this couple they don't want crowd, they want to enjoy every bits and moments. Some people want a family wedding, often times these kinds of wedding are crowded, but it can be managed well to enable the couple enjoy their day.

On the D-day, controlling and managing an event is no easy job. And that is where the expertise of a trained event planner and manager comes to play. I have attended some events that went out of control, and I ask who planned the event, and I'm either told the couple, parents, aunty, etc, one told me the decorator planned the event, and I'm like really!
A vendor can plan to some extent,but can never manage, because on that day, he or she would be busy on their own post and trying to market their business. For an event planner and manager, the event markets itself and the happy clients out of appreciation refers them. Why should there be rowdiness, noise, fights, etc at an event? Lack of proper management.
