Late Igwe John Ejikeme Nebeolisa was a prominent multi-millionaire in the 1990s from the Eastern part of Nigeria. He was known for his lavish lifestyle and close friendship with Victor Okafor, also known as "Ezego", who was considered the king of money in the Igbo language. Nebeolisa was the epitome of success, owning expensive cars like limousines, Porsches, and Peugeot Chasis. He moved around with bodyguards and in convoys, living a life that many Nigerian men aspired to.

Nebeolisa had businesses all over the Eastern region, as well as numerous properties in Lagos and overseas. His business ventures included hotels, travel agencies, and other controversial setups. However, his most significant investment was buying the kingship in Awkuzu, Anambra State.

Nebeolisa was able to purchase the kingship through his wealth and influence, despite not being of royal blood. He ruled the town as the traditional ruler, or Igwe, until his death. During his reign, he used his wealth to develop the town, building schools, hospitals, and other infrastructure. He also made generous donations to the community and supported various charitable causes.

Despite his contributions to the town, Nebeolisa's reign as Igwe was not without controversy. Some community members accused him of abusing his power and exploiting his position for personal gain. Nevertheless, he remained a beloved figure in Awkuzu until his death.

In summary, the story of Late John Nebeolisa is that of a successful businessman who used his wealth and influence to purchase the kingship of Awkuzu, Anambra State. He ruled the town as the traditional ruler until his death, using his wealth to develop the community and support charitable causes. While his reign was not without controversy, he remained a beloved figure in Awkuzu and his legacy lives on.
