*THE BIG QUESTION*
They questioned in their hearts whether John the Baptist was the Messiah or not. Answering them, John told them that someone greater than him is coming. Who was John referring to? ____.
According to verse 16, what will Jesus do to the people when He comes? He will _____ you with the _____ and _____.
This baptism empowers us, God's children, to live to please God. Jesus is still baptising people today with the Holy Spirit and fire. Children, even you can be baptised and empowered to begin to please God.

*Prayer*
God, please empower me with the Holy Spirit so that I will begin to live a life that is pleasing to You in Jesus' name. Amen.

2 Chronicles 8:11-18
*Defiling Association*
Observe carefully what King Solomon did in 2 Chronicles 8:11. Why the decision? Solomon moved Pharaoh’s daughter to a residence outside the City of David, indicating his awareness that their marriage is not pleasing to God. Do you keep friends that you are not bold enough to bring home or Church and introduce to your parents or pastor? We must ensure that the friends we keep, the movies we watch, etc. align with our godly values. Read 2 Chronicles 8:12-18 and observe the exploits of King Solomon. He could still do many other mighty works, but with a drifting heart. Though his relationship with Pharaoh’s daughter seemed harmless at the time, it planted seeds that ultimately contributed to his downfall (1 Kings 11:1-9). No association is neutral. It is either bringing you closer to God or taking you away from God.
*Prayer* Lord Jesus, please help me to pull away from any association that will pull me away from You.
