In line with our vision of raising transformed minds for sustainable development, partnered with LEAD Transformation Initiative to equip some selected youths in Akure with practical skills on tomatoes production.

Harviseeds is a capstone group under the umbrella of the School of Politics, Policy and Governance.

It was day one of the training and we began by first subjecting the participants to our transformational curriculum.

Our commitment at making a significant contribution to the restoration of the degraded environment remains resolute.

We continue this commitment with introduction of 1k gemlina trees into the rain forest.

This is an ongoing work that will see us adding about 20k indigenous and exotic species of trees into the Ondo State Forest Reserve in Ala area this year. With the joint efforts of our youths and the support of the rural inhabitants.

Remember, we don't plant trees we grow trees!

The invested time and efforts in the 🍅 Seedling preparation is paying off with good germination rate.

Next is to majestically move them into their final abode where they will be grown to become food for human in the bid to make our community food secure.

It's tomatoes 🍅'clock.

We are in the process for the rain fed tomatoes with seed nursing.

Every stage of farm activities requires attention and intentionality. But seed selection and preparation requires greater care, because it is the foundation upon which other stages greatly depend.

Any error at this stage will negatively affect every other stages of the production process.

We therefore ensure we cross all the Ts and dot all the Is to enjoy smooth plantation and bountiful harvest.
