I’ll tell you something from experience, yes pressure pot softens beans, but the texture of the beans when you soak the beans in slightly hot water for like an hour before cooking is on another high 😊.

So what soaking does is, it gives the dried beans time to slowly swell and in most cases, this makes it retain its form even after getting very soft. While on the other hand, starting off with pressure pot forces the beans to soften real fast without allowing time to swell and this can make the bean seeds burst and get marshy fast.

So if you have some extra time to spare but depending on the texture of beans you prefer at a given time, presoak your beans before cooking 👍🏼.

I saw this rice at the market in Warri for the first time. It’s called 3 brothers. My curiosity made me buy a cup to go try.
I am yet to try it.

Just before the hike in the price of pepper, i bought a basket of this pepper and noticed it had a very nice scent plus it was super hot and red so i went back and bought 2 more baskets and dumped in my freezer. 4 days later, i started hearing 1 seed of pepper was now being sold for 50 naira each 🧐. I am glad i did that and also to say do you know this is a fantastic way to store tomato and pepper as well if you have some level of good power supply!
