Starting today - Friday, October 16th - through Sunday, October 18th, The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) will present the 'Save Our Stages Festival.' The event's main objective is to generate money for venues experiencing loss revenues because of the pandemic.
Live music venues in America have been struggling as the COVID-19 pandemic have halted their operations. Since March, these businesses have struggled without revenue and insufficient government assistance, while still having to pay the rent and other operating expenses. As a result, a growing number of independent venues have been forced to close permanently.
Some of the confirmed performers for the festival include: The Roots, Major Lazer, Monica, Leon Bridges, YG, Dizzy Fae, and that is just to name a few
