A Legend at 39: Thinklab Group Hosts Maiden Colloquium in Honour of Dr. Sa’id Alkali Kori

Thinklab Group Headquarters, Abuja, hosted the maiden Dr. Sa'id Alkali Kori Legacy Forum Colloquium in honour of Dr. Sa’id Alkali Kori as part of activities marking his 39th birthday. The event brought together distinguished public officials, business leaders, professionals, mentees, friends, and well-wishers to celebrate a life of visionary leadership, service, and enduring impact.

With the theme “Youth in Leadership Role,” the colloquium featured the launch of a Compendium of Achievements, Testimonials and Legacy, documenting Dr. Kori’s remarkable professional journey, contributions to national development, and the lives he has transformed through mentorship and leadership.

An accomplished Infrastructure Finance Strategist, Investment Promotion Expert, Development Economist, and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Specialist, Dr. Kori currently serves as Chairman of the Borno Investment Promotion Agency (BOIPA), Chief Investment Adviser to the Borno State Government, Chairman of the Nigerian Food Corporation, Technical Adviser to the Lake Chad Basin, Founder and CEO of Thinklab Group, and Chairman of Fulus Capital.

Organized by the Dr. Sa’id Kori Legacy Forum in collaboration with his patrons, friends, and mentees, the colloquium opened with a welcome address by Dr. Babagana Adam, CEO/Managing Director of the Nigerian Food Corporation, Group managing Director Thinklab group, who described Dr. Kori as an exceptional leader whose greatest legacy lies in the people he has empowered. A multimedia presentation showcasing the celebrant’s achievements and humanitarian contributions further highlighted his inspiring journey and lasting influence.

The intellectual segment featured a paper presentation on “The Impact of Youth Empowerment on Nigeria’s Changing Political Climate” by Mr. Abubakar Bello, who emphasized the importance of youth inclusion in governance and national development. This was followed by a keynote address on “Democratizing Real Estate” by Chief John Anichukwu, who advocated innovative financing models and inclusive housing policies to expand access to real estate opportunities.

A major highlight of the event was the interactive panel discussion on “The Northern Horizon: Building the Next Generation of Visionaries, Builders, and Industrial Titans,” moderated by Fauziya Nasir and featuring Dr. Mala Geidam, Veronica Braimoh, and Fatima Grema. The panel explored strategies for advancing Northern Nigeria’s economic future through visionary leadership, industrialization, entrepreneurship, and strategic investment in human capital.

The colloquium also witnessed the formal launch of the publication by Mr. Abubakar Bello, Yahuza Usman, and Kolomi Babagana, while guests pledged financial support towards sustaining the initiative. The celebration concluded with the ceremonial cutting of the birthday cake and presentation of gifts by Arc. Ifeanyi Chu and Ayodimeji Kadiri, symbolizing the appreciation of colleagues, mentees, and associates for Dr. Kori’s exceptional leadership and enduring legacy.

Participants described Dr. Kori as a visionary leader, mentor, and nation-builder whose influence continues to inspire a new generation of leaders. They expressed optimism that the annual colloquium would evolve into a premier platform for promoting leadership, youth development, innovation, and sustainable national development.
