NATIONWIDE DISPLAY OF PRELIMINARY REGISTER OF VOTERS FOR CLAIMS AND OBJECTIONS IS ONGOING!

If you have recently registered to vote, transferred your registration, or updated your personal information, you are advised to verify that your details are accurately captured on the Preliminary Register of Voters.

Visit your local office to file a claim if:

1. Your name does not appear on the register.
2. Your names or personal details are misspelled.
3. Your information is incomplete or inaccurate.

You may file a formal objection if you identify any individual on the register who is:

1. Under the age of 18.
2. A non-citizen of Nigeria.
3. Not a resident within the specific registration area.
4. Deceased.
5. Legally incapacitated.

Date: 20th April – 26th April 2026
Time: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily
Location: All INEC Local Government Area (LGA) offices nationwide.

Verifying the register is a critical step in ensuring the integrity of the electoral process. Please ensure you visit the designated INEC office in your LGA within the specified timeframe to confirm your eligibility.

Smiles, confidence, and renewed hope filled the atmosphere as participants actively engaged during the Safe Spaces for Women and Girls Law Clinic Outreach in Bmuko Community, successfully organized by Proactive Gender Initiative (PGI) sponsored by the Nigerian Women Trust Fund

Certificates of Participation were presented to each participant at the end of the Lagos Regional Workshop on Active Civic Citizenship Training for Young Persons held at the University of Lagos, in recognition of their active engagement, participation, and commitment to promoting civic responsibility and democratic participation in Nigeria.

The workshop, which trained students on civic action and election observation, provided participants with practical knowledge on election observation, risk awareness, reporting processes, and strategies for youth-led civic engagement.

The workshop was organized by Proactive Gender Initiatives (PGI) with support from the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), reinforcing efforts to empower young people with the knowledge and tools needed for active citizenship.
