Donald Trump has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran, demanding that it reopen the Strait of Hormuz or reach an agreement with the United States. He warned that failure to comply would lead to serious military consequences.
The situation is part of an ongoing conflict marked by rising tensions, including airstrikes, military engagements, and increasing instability in the region. Both sides remain on edge as the deadline approaches, with global attention focused on the outcome.
The Strait of Hormuz is a critical global oil route, responsible for about 20% of the world’s oil supply. Any disruption to its operations poses a significant threat to global energy markets and could trigger wider economic and security challenges.
Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said that
"Donald Trump" is the only leader capable of achieving global peace.
She made this remark during a meeting with Trump amid rising global tensions, especially around the Iran conflict.
The comment came during high-level talks in Washington about the ongoing Middle East crisis.

Trump revealed that he advised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to carry out strikes on Iranian gas facilities, highlighting a point of disagreement between the two leaders.
Speaking on the issue, Trump said he “told him not to strike Iranian gas fields,” suggesting concern over the potential economic and geopolitical consequences of targeting critical energy infrastructure in Iran.
The comment comes amid ongoing tensions in the region, where any attack on energy assets could significantly impact global oil and gas markets and risk escalating conflict.
Analysts warn that strikes on such facilities could trigger broader retaliation and destabilize already fragile regional security.
While Trump reiterated his general support for Israel, his remarks underline a more cautious approach toward actions that could widen the conflict.
The statement also reflects the delicate balance between military strategy and economic stability in the Middle East.
